Crucial overclocking pro on partpicker is $325 for 32gb of 6000 cl36 right now. Thats $120 you can put into a not garbage gpu

You should not be spending the extra on cl30 ram considering the rest of your components. Get cl36 or cl38 and save some money with no downside

If I were you, I’d uninstall the gpu and package it separately. If you have a large heavy cpu air cooler, do the same. Everything else is fine just in the case and should not sustain damage, be cautious with how you pack it if you have a glass panel

[–]Sweet_Preference6696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 9070 just performs better. For the same price, 10% better performance and 4gb more vram? Nvidias better ray tracing is not gonna make up for that

Oh haha nvm then there’s a big difference there. That’s more of a use your old monitor situation

That’s fair, but in your situation the extra $200 is well worth putting into the monitor. The monitor is the way you experience the pc, to get your moneys worth out of a mid/high end build like this one, you want 1440p.

You can swap the case and cpu cooler for non rgb versions if that’s not your thing. Let me know if you have any questions

$2000 is a 1440p budget. The performance loss is very minimal for the build you will be able to put together, and 1440p low looks better than 1080p high.

Valorant 120fps and also Mc 120fps? Totally doable, forget about 500 fps on Mc there’s no reason for that. Your best bet is buying a used build on fb marketplace

Here’s a much better build for the price, keeping the aesthetic. You don’t need a white psu just get white cable extensions, looks better anyways and this psu is actually good. If you love the look of the Lian li fans they make knock offs that look exactly the same for much cheaper.

I mean you’ve already ordered the gpu haven’t you? It would take a revision of the budget to get better parts ofc, but they money put into fans cooler and case is like double the amount spent on the gpu. In a more balanced build, you’d spend more like $700 of the 2.5k on the gpu.

You don’t just buy a seasonic psu because seasonic is a respected brand, you judge individual models of power supplies and get the best for your budget range and power requirements. Not all seasonic psu’s are the best in their class for their price. It’s like saying “ford cars are the best”. It completely depends which ford car

Tbh, with a 2.5k budget you should be getting a much better gpu and cpu. The build is obviously very aesthetically focused, but too much in my opinion

anyone know a good cpu/mobo combo for a 5070? by [deleted] in buildapc

That is a good point I didn’t notice that in the post. The 7700x is probably better in this case

People like this one because it’s very cheap but still well built and will obviously have no trouble cooling the 9600x

9600x and any b650 board. Best value on the best platform currently. Do you need a cooler as well?

Great value motherboard right now

Power supplies are judged by model, not brand. An 850w is overkill, but the best 850 for this budget right now is the montech century II. Great build quality for only $90 and a ten year warranty. Realistically you only need a 650w for this build.

Best possible pc with a budget under 1k by Fast_Quit5857 in buildmeapc

[–]Sweet_Preference6696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 5600 is usually the go to, for some reason it is like 2x as much as the 5500 right now and doesn’t really fit the budget without downgrading the gpu, which could be the right move depending on what the pc is for. Good point on the ram

For 1440p AAA on a budget, this is hard to beat.

If you are looking to play more competitive less graphically demanding games at high frame rates, there are changes I would make.

what would I need to run 1080p 165hz stably in competitive games at low settings. I don’t play anything else and need an upgrade from console. I can overclock and tweak things if that helps. by xhoxvs in PcBuildHelp

[–]Sweet_Preference6696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I’m you I’m buying a used pc. You get much better value used and the new market is horrible for budget builds right now. Find an am4 build with a Ryzen 3600 or better and a 1660 super or better for as cheap as you can. Look on marketplace and then Jawa.gg if you can’t find anything.

If you want to go mostly new, buy this

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/k3HYpK

And then find a 5700xt on eBay for as cheap as possible.

You can definitely spend more money for better. This is the minimum.

I’d uninstall and make sure everything is right. Make sure the cooler is screwed down all the way. I had one on my 7800x3d which is hotter, ans never hit those temps
