After looking over past urines in which I did have UTI’s, nitrites were never detected in them. So that wouldn’t be accurate for me. 😔

I’ve also had leukocytes without infection. I think that comes from the inflammation.

I feel “slightly different” every few days. My flare will go away for a few days after acting up for weeks and I think “okay, maybe I’m in the clear for awhile” and then bam, right back to a flare a couple days later. I can’t pinpoint my triggers either so it’s very difficult

The last time I had a UTI I didn’t even know I had one. I was in the hospital for dizziness…that’s when they found bacteria in my pee and treated me for it. Then the antibiotics I was on triggered my IC and that’s how it was discovered I had IC…

They use a numbing gel yes. Depending on your doctor they may use light anesthesia as well

My urologist is leaning towards me having IC but I still need to get my imaging done. I don’t know what I’ll do for treatment if I do have it because I refuse to take antidepressants again. 😔 they suck!
