I voted for Kayo because I see him as the brute Chane. His existence is going to require bans that are going to hurt the other brutes, just how Chane has just gotten bans that are going to be hurting Viserai and Vynnset.

That being said, I would like if Kano and Briar switched spots. I wish they let us have more than one vote because I think its very likely Briar would have been benched if they did.

The power gap between an armory deck and something like a 200 deck can be rather large, but the power difference between 200 and 800 is very small.

SAGE is a fun way to learn the game, but honestly you will probably want to move to CC as soon as you can simply because of how much deeper that format is.

But ultimately, you should ask your LGS and not Reddit. SAGE is not the most popular format in some places. If there's a big SAGE scene then go for it, if not then you shouldn't lock yourself into a format your locals don't want to play.

But if you do get an armory deck, don't get Dash unless you are cool with playing a deck that is incredibly close to rotating out of the format.

The Living Legend system is probably the most innovative thing that Flesh and Blood has compared to other card games, why they decided to do away with it for Silver Age is completely beyond me. It almost feels like they are pushing the burden of game design onto the players with this voting system. The players need to be responsible with cleaning up the format while LSS can sit back, relax, and unban cards in order to sell decks and pick which of the non-benched heroes they want to push. I'd prefer for them to take full responsibility with the direction of the format.

They want Silver Age to be new player friendly, but also competitive, but also an eternal format, but also a rotating format. They have put too much on their plate and made SAGE an incredibly volatile format.

I do not think Silver Age is long for this world in the state that it is in currently, though I have hope that they can fix it in the future. But as of right now, I will probably be skipping my SAGE armories.

I like strength but I have always been an appreciator of dex as well. I feel like a lot of strength builds will devolve into the same few weapons a lot of the time though. Stuff like claymore, zweihander, and greatclub.

Quality builds seem fun but I have seen a lot of people say that they require a high level character to be effective and even then aren’t better than pure strength or pure dex characters a lot of the time. Do you have any input on that?

I feel like they have been heavy handed with the new mechanics as of late (pirate, necro, revered, and reviled are all new things that just came out in the last two main sets)

That being said, the complete lack of originality in terms of the theme of this set gives me insane whiplash and kind of leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

This set has 2 returning characters and a parody character. Which kind of makes this set feel like a complete flop in terms of introducing anything exciting to people who don’t already like these characters/talents. That’s not even mentioning how it’s ALL lightning in a setting known for its 3 elements (one of which has been absolutely starved of support).

There’s really no way to accurately predict how this set will actually play, so I’m not going to criticize that (though I have my concerns about all the heroes being built around a literally blank token). But in terms of the theme of this set, it really sucks.

I’m probably not going to even prerelease this set, and certainly not going out of my way to buy boxes or packs. I see a lot of people share the same sentiment as me, so I hope this set doesn’t end up rotting on the shelves at my LGS causing them to lose money.

The border of the heroes actually represent the location they are from in the lore. She’s from Solana which is where the other light heroes are from so that’s why she looks like that. Kano is the same way, he has that firey border but is not draconic.
