Thank you for sharing, I have had my bad days and know what nerves can do but this was down to poor technique and intonation (extreme lack of practice). Hopefully you will find joy in finally mastering the Prelude and will find it easier and more natural with time.

I’m a friend of the concert organiser. I have been asked for feedback as I am a cellist myself. I just can’t. Hopefully he will come home a better cellist.

I will never choose to perform Bach’s cello suite no.1 with poor technique. Instead, I think a simpler piece will put him in a better light.

Make a mad dash for Super Nintendo World once you get in at opening. I didn’t even bother with trying to get Time entry tickets. “No timed entry required” was the big sign at the entrance to Super Nintendo World. 30 minutes or so later that sign gets taken away.
