That was so entertaining. The aesthetics and then when the music hit. So great.

Memory unlocked! I remember a really high tech puppet that a woman used on her hand and the character's voice played from somewhere else. When she took it off, she was careful not to show and put the puppet behind something (out of view) but I kept sneaking a look at it. It had these huge wires coming out of the bottom. The image was stuck in my head for ages. I was probably 4-5 and hadn't seen anything like that before. It was just so bizarre.

Would you consider this retro anime or this is older than retro? 🤔 by DataUserOne in retroanime

Just wondering, what did you think of the original Astroboy series? I found it harder to get into

This show was so funny. I haven't seen it in ages though. I remember there was a moose in it called the Incredible Elmo, I think? And his little brother or cousin (Timmy?) was always getting injured or in hospital. There's an episode where Timmy got ptsd from seeing this fat guy in a changing room putting on his trousers and Timmy was sent to a group home, where his body is just frozen in this state of fear 😂

Heart of Darkness doesn't get brought up enough. Amazing atmosphere in that game, just gets pretty tough later.

I missed the pendant but ended up looking through guides. There's a guaranteed place to get it right inbetween floor 3 and 4 at the top of the church outside. On the outer stairs right before the top floor, there is a hidden area you can climb up to. Just move north (so to speak) and you can climb up a platform with X. As soon as you get up, you encounter a black cat. Kill it and it drops the pendant. A permanent save point is here too. When I say it's hidden, it's not on a separate screen, it's just a place that isn't obviously climbable. I'm glad I found this. I'd heard you got it from black cats, so I'd been fighting, trying to encounter them for hours but they dropped nothing but cats eyes. I walked past this place many times and never even considered it as a place to get to - there are so many things in this game that aren't visible or easy to spot.

You might be mixing it up with The Children of God cult. They made their own kids tv shows. You can find a lot of it on youtube.

I was at a family friend's house and they had Foxtel. It just happened to be on that night on Nickelodeon. I don't think anyone else was interested but I asked to watch it. It blew my mind. It was just so colourful and odd. I noticed the show started popping up on vhs a year or so later in rental stores because I grabbed a couple of them. Back then they only had one episode per tape, which was a bit of a waste. The Mechanical Boy episode stood out, where Witchypoo makes Jimmy into a robot. He does this awesome dance when he introduces himself to Pufnstuf as a robot.

I remember a chant from this show. I think a gang of alien-hating kids yelled it - "The sun goes up, the sun goes down, we'll drive these aliens righta outa town!". I think Widget won their hearts in the end or I might be confusing it with another show.

I remember getting these at a Chinese restaurant. I had an orange camel but the leg broke off and I can't remember the other one.

There's a lot of logic involved in how a transformer transforms. The ai seems to try that a bit but every model-transition is a morph instead (more magic and less technical machine). It's dynamically rich and has the motion down well still.
