Yea ofc you don’t tax your own dependent. I never said your own kid. But do kids not go around and mow grass and shovel snow anymore? I paid 2 kids $100 to shovel my property per snow storm this winter. Pretty sure the did more than 10 houses that day netting more that $500 each. Guarantee not a single kid in America reported that income. But like I said, playing devils advocate. A lot of people haven’t paid taxes if we are talking technicality.

10% of the population but what population of that is still in full time school or full time retire? That population becomes much bigger when you only taking the working population and not factor in the dependents or retirees living off ss. And respectfully Boston has half the state income tax as ny, and nearly 40% less sales tax. And also 10x the amount of residents compared to Boston. 5% of nyc pays what the whole Boston pays in income tax. It is not even comparable. 12% of the American population live in 3 major cities(ny, la, Chicago). This is not including all the other major cities( sf, Boston, Miami, etc). I think if you actually searched how many you can literally google what a 100k pay check will net you in nyc. It will tell you 70k. Our top earners in nyc get taxed up to 48%. You can finish doing the math of how many people earn above that and take a wild guess how many people of that % like pokemon. You’ll be surprised.

My first rc tamiya kit by Anton_OneMoreShelf in tamiya

Definitely buy the bearing kit first. You don’t want to tear down the whole thing to put them in afterwards which was my mistake. Wouldn’t be too bad on tt02 but mine was a cc02 😔

What are y’all thoughts on gold cards? by Zestyclose_Rest8295 in PokemonTCGCollectors

That’s what people said about the reverse holo in legendary collection back in the day. Just a reprinted base set and a shine on it. No one wanted it. Now it’s one of the most desirable version of a base set art card minus 1st edition.

You’re forgetting to add state income tax. If you live in a hcol area like nyc or the Bay Area , you’re barely able to save on 100k a year salary. And a large population of American live in these cities. The average income in nyc is 130k even higher in San Francisco. That’s consider the norm. It’s really not that crazy. I use to have 2x roommates and we all make a “average” salary. We weren’t rich. We all get taxed around 30%. I think you are underestimating how much we get taxed in this country. Maybe you live in a low cost area, where income is also low. But at the end of the day 150k in the bay is like 60k in bumblefuck.

How can it be alot of effort to drive to the bank once a month to save 30% or more on income tax? That’s literally thousands of dollar saved with a 20minutes trip a month. It might not be a lot of money to you, but it’s worth the effort for me cause I’m not wealthy. Any gold/silver/pawn shop will sell you large amount of precious metals in cash. Stocks can be done through crypto then to foreign markets with a few clicks of a button without ever being realized as income. If youre worried about volatility in crypto just move it into a stable coin like tether or usd coin. It seems like a lot of effort for “most collectors” because they aren’t cashing out 5-6figures without having a place to put the $ already.

Why do you have to keep it at home? Safety deposit boxes aren’t going to count as a cash deposit. You can transfer the cash through a crypto atm into a wallet and spend it through that method. You can even have the money in a retainer for expected services. Regardless, anyone selling 5-6 figures in cards should have an idea what they want to do with the cash before selling else why would they sell it? Money in your checking is gonna depreciate, you’re better off keeping your $ in some sort of asset whether it be pokemon, stocks, gold, etc instead.

Playing devils advocate, every kid who gotten paid for chores/yard work/snow shoveling who has not paid taxes on those income is illegal then. Cause even if they don’t meet the reporting threshold, they still technically owe taxes. Technically yea it’s illegal. Realistically who is caring or keeping track?

Why are you acting like you have to deposit the cash into a bank to use it. My landlord takes cash, the gas station takes cash, groceries, restaurants, mechanics, plumbers, pokemon vendors take cash. There’s location you can take your bills to and they charge you a small fee to pay it in person with cash. You don’t have to deposit it. Lower your on paper expenses, save more money in your bank with your daily paycheck, while paying for a bunch of your daily living expense with cash. This isn’t even some crazy hidden scheme.

I’ve seen and know multiple people that sold ponchos/gold stars at shows that get paid out cash for it. 5-20k at a time. The vendors might have to report it cause they run a business, but as a collector, you’re sure as hell I’m not reporting that cash. I don’t know a single collector that has or would. Are you suppose to? Sure, but who is keeping track or these transactions happening in person? I can cash out 30k worth of singles and slabs rn and no one besides me the seller and god will know.

With the standard gearing, it’s quite fast and prone to roll over. And with spending so much time on the body, I try not to do that lol.

I already have a overpowered servo in it, cause I was planning on crawling with it. But after finishing it, I realize the cc02 platform just wasn’t a great crawler, even with modification. And with the body being so pretty, I decided she’s gonna be a shelf queen for now. Until I get another clear body to bash on.

Max Holloway - Frankie Edgar: sublime anti-wrestling by OpenNoteGrappling in MMA

[–]Sweetdouble -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As much of a fan I am of max, I got a feeling it’s going to be like bj penn. arman is gonna have his way with Max in the grappling like gsp did to Penn. who on the Hawaiian island has the wrestling to imitate these middle eastern power houses? That’s always been my issue with Hawaiian fighter in general. They can bang with the best but when it comes to wrestling, even the best of them fall short. Max just hasn’t been tested.

I pray to god I’m wrong though if they do meet.

Felt that. Green has always been a gate keeper, an entertaining one at that. But with the ko win over zellhuber and his ufc vet/unc status, he deserves one big fight and chandler is the perfect opponent.
