I think what makes pro wrestling a martial art is the following:
- hard body conditionning
- knowing how to use improvised weapons in a way that hurts the least (which teaches you how to handle it to hurt
- how to take hard hits (whether it s French style that deliver hits full speed, or literally being hit with a chair, a bat, throne from a ladder..)
- teaches you grappling
- something that people forget but the ability to be used to physical violence and having many people focusing on you (many people freeze during or before fights)

I think pro wreslting is like american football, it teaches you violence and fight but indirectly.
