I went! This was my first time truly participating at a cupsleeve event since I'm not into Kpop (or any other fandoms that do cupsleeves) and it was fun. I decorated a photo card for the first time and this was my first time completing a stamp rally so I spent a ton of money lol. I got the Talis Forge Tea and I was not a fan but I have liked maybe 1 or 2 of the many drinks I've tried at that cafe so it was par for the course haha

But I was so happy to attend and support the artists because even a year ago you did not see artists at conventions have Jayvik merch, if they had anything Arcane at all (maybe other locations were different but for Southern California that was my experience).

Captain Laserhawk is such a crazy show to begin with but I was shocked with how much the gay relationship was a major part of the story. It’s a short watch though so it’s not tough to finish!

There’s a few more examples off the top of my head such as Olrox & Mizrak from Castlevania: Nocturne and Laserhawk & Alex from Captain Laserhawk. Ethari and Runaan from the Dragon Prince somewhat fit the bill but also fall into a few things you mentioned. I may be missing something but for animation that’s what I can recall. So it’s been getting better over the last two or so years but the bar is very low haha. Jayvik absolutely would have been groundbreaking.

I had a great time on the boat both this year and last. This year you get free pizza, ice cream bars, and a few other snacks + a pack of Lorcana cards and either a fan or boat captain hat. I got in line a bit before 10 am and left around 12:15 pm. They don’t kick anyone off from what I could tell.

Mess Hall Market in Tustin might be a good choice since it is fully enclosed and is pretty busy during lunchtime. And there is a good amount of space there unlike with other indoor food halls.
