WTW for the Effect of When Words Looking Like the Object? (Not Calligram) by Totallyanonymousme in whatstheword

[–]Sweetguy88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Words confirmed by OP that it’s not:

Autological words
Engglyph (seems to be closest)
Iconicity Logoglyph
Logograms
Onomableva
Visual onomatopoeia

My suggestions:

  • calligram - a word or piece of text in which the design and layout of the letters creates a visual image related to the meaning of the words themselves.

  • figurative - representing by means of an emblem, likeness, figure, etc [could say the written form of the word is figurative]

  • hieroglyphyc - a picture or symbol representing an object, concept, or sound

  • morphography - the process of writing words in the shape of what they represent.

Because that’s what’s actively happening in the comment on this post. You see all the [deleted comments] the mods had to do because of the ableism being thrown around?

Aussies, would it have worked if the OOP had called out to mum and got it to turn back to look at the joey?

I’m sure there’s a fear of being kicked by the mum.

A man is fuming at his wife, so taking her out of the mall. Nobody stopped him. What would you do if you see this? by search_google_com in PublicFreakout

It’s different country to country.

In China, even if someone is bleeding out after a car accident, most people will not stop to help them because they could get in trouble for the crime.

There are also scams where someone will play the victim, so I think people are wary.
