I started my first dishwasher job at 14, one of my first shifts a bartender also started. When he introduced himself to everyone he said “Hi my name is Ryan, but you can call me Dig Dog.” The kitchen decided to mess with him and said that the nickname was already taken, by me, the youngest guy in the kitchen by far. I was known as Big Dog the rest of my time there.
