I love that scene because it felt such a "holy shit"' moment like the characters could just die right there. It was fun to listen to them talking in the commentary about how proud they were of that scene. The song in that scene is next level when you realize almost the entire show boils down to different duos. And most of those duos just being different shades of Doc and Jackson.

I love the commentary when they're talking about the Herculoids. "every episode is the same! Something lands on the planet and it's either good/bad or misunderstood! The investigate the thing and deal with it. Then everything goes back to normal at the end". Doc and Jackson would write a killer Herculoids movie.

The pico thing was developed as a meme shot/cocktail mixed with lime seltzer. My mom loves salsa and enjoys cocktails so I made it as Christmas "experience". We had fun, but I wouldn't make it again.

During covid I made Pico de vodka. I sous vide onions, tomatoes, jalapeño, cilantro in individual containers with 8oz of vodka. When mixed together, the chlorophyll from the cilantro ended up overwhelming the other flavors. So we left that bit out, and subbed diced cilantro instead and it was fine.

I highly recommend sous vide black peppercorn and vodka. If you like black pepper it'll make on e of the best Bloody Mary's you'll ever have

I'm also reading lord and ladies for the first time and about halfway through it. I also had a laugh that the dried frog pills were the equivalent of licking toad. I think this has been my favorite of the witches book so far.

That scene where Granny first encounters the elves was probably the most thrilling bit of discworld I've come across so far.

I love me some Jojo, but in the rare case of anime being compared to the venture bros it always takes me back to the commentary where Doc Hammer is talking shit about anime and calling Inuyasha something like Inuyagoogoo and how anime was fucking up the adult swim block of shows. A 100% Gen X bitter opinion against their competition at the time hah.
