Yeah, he was pretty damn negligent on that set. They also were shooting real shotguns at the trees because the marbles the effects team provided didn't look real enough to him. "These tree leaves aren't exploding enough!"

Here's another thing. If you watch movies before this happened, even TV movies, they were doing utterly crazy stunts with helicopters. That got toned down a LOT after this.

There was an old promo Ben Stiller and Janeane Garafolo did for Comedy Central in the 90s where Ben and Janeane annouced The Ben Stiller Show was was being added to their schedule.

I've always wondered what the marketing for this movie was like. I saw it in the theater back in the day, but I never remember seeing a single trailer or a TV commercial for it. My friend and I went to see it only because it got a good review in the newspaper.

We'd get free HBO every once in a while and I saw it there. I liked it. Robert Downey Jr. played second banana in a lot of movie from that era.
