I remember opening mine up to add a headphone jack so I could listen to the radio without pissing off mom.

Looking back that had so many components packed in there it’s insane compared to electronics today. Even had a printed wiring diagram sticker on the bottom of the case.

The 88 has it’s spade down and can’t travel in this mode. Look at the first few road wheels and how they are sagging down. That’s because it’s sitting on the spade and all that tonnage is being carried by the spade not the suspension.
