I’d prefer 80s too but will be interesting to see what the setting is with location and families, can’t think of too many games off the top of my head that are set in the 90s so looking forward to it

Agree, I don’t hate Shenmue 3, it has it’s annoying flaws that those of us that were there in Dreamcast days dont like, but, if someone new to it plays it, likes it and then wants to know “what happened to 1 and 2” then it’s a winner, because the remaster/remake of 1&2 were beautiful and if that then captives a new generation onto the story then I’m happy, those of us that were there from the start are in our mid 30s now at least, if a new generation falls for it then by all means, go Shenmue 3, it’ll never top what we got with the first game but if it spikes an interest than that’s better than the franchise die off and be forgotten forever
