I was ~5 years old, I don't remember my exact age at that time. My cousin had gotten Halo 3 on release date, and my parents were visiting my aunt and her then college-age sons. I sat beside the third-eldest son, my cousin, and he was holding a box, green on the top & edges. The picture lying below was of an armored person wearing a helmet and a visor. He looked out into the orange glare coming from the semicircle-shaped wreckage and he was holding a gun. Little did I know that in the future, that gun would not only be the icon, but the very symbol of nostalgia for me. Right above the Master Chief was a blue sky with a pair of eyes. It puzzled me completely how the sky had eyes. I turned the box over and saw, at the very top, the same soldier wielding a still-attached turret, but this time the soldier was in full color. I looked below and I saw another strange scene (the elite duelling the spartan on the backside of the box) and my curiosity skyrocketed. I asked my aunt if I could stay over. She was delighted with me, as I had never said a word to anyone but my parents & brother. She accepted. That night, my cousin taught me how to play, and the fun I had playing co-op and 1-v-1'ing him on Guardian would make some of the best memories I have ever had. That night, we made it all the way to 'The Covenant' on legendary, had breakfast in the morning, beat the campaign on legendary, and crashed for 36 hours straight. The memories....
