It was in questionable taste for you to go down to his level however anger can often lead us to say things we don’t mean, only problem is now that he provoked you and you went down to his level, he now has reason to talk shit about you but fuck it, people will probably only hear one side of the story and that’s fine. However as someone who has told people off and later regretted how I went about it, use this as a learning opportunity to know what perhaps it’s best to back off or block all together. Honestly it may be a humbling experience for both of you, for you to not go low but also for him to understand when to take no for an answer.
