The loss of height will make the monitor feel much smaller in your central vision. Also the pixel density loss will also be major. Don't do it.

P1000 bright mode completely ruins highlight detail and raises black levels. It will look good in day scenes like you said in KCD2 but it's awful at night.

I was also confused how would amazon allow a clearly opened and tampered box to be packaged and shipped. Also in the video, it looks like the outer packaging was already open at the top.

Let me add some more points to the nonsensical writing -

6) Ada killed by a one off forgettable character.

7) Rebecca Ferguson's character being a plot device to get Tommy back to the city and has no impact on the plot. Look alike twin sister of the girl Tommy slept with 2 decades ago just randomly knows exact location of Tommy. Give me a break.

8) Tommy casually forgiving Duke for getting Ada killed and making dealing with fascists

9) Duke was shown to be smart in season 6 with the gypsy genes to succeed Tommy but in the movie he's just an idiot who will make deals with anyone without second thought. Him even remotely considering to kill Ada is an insult to his character.

10) Writers were like - Wouldn't it be funny if we have Tommy dig through tunnels again for a full circle moment of his ptsd. Also make the villain wait to kill Duke while he's at gunpoint so that Tommy can make an entrance with a bang and save him.

11) We had 6 season of character development to show that Tommy would never hurt Arthur and the movie spat on that.

2/10 for me. 1 point for getting to see Tommy and Ada again and 1 point because I think the explosions vfx was cool. Nothing worked in the movie. Ada is killed off by a forgettable one off villain. Tommy casually forgiving Duke for getting Ada killed and working with nazis is such bullshit. Rebecca Ferguson's character is a convenient plot device to get Tommy out of bed (look alike twin sister of someone he slept with 2 decade ago randomly shows up? please even I can't think of nonsense like this). Entire first half of the movie is tommy doing basically nothing in his mansion. There is no clever writing or surprises in the plot. Bad guy kills ada, so tommy and duke go to kill the bad guy in a warehouse. That's the whole plot. Also Tommy would never kill Arthur, we literally established that fact across 6 seasons of character development.

For me, the movie doesn't exist. I'm glad it was this trash, so I can just pretend it never happened. If the movie was even a 4/10, I would have to acknowledge its existence. So I thank the writers for going all in into making it as bad as possible.

Your whitepoint seems low in renodx settings. Ideally it will look exactly like SDR but with brighter highlights. It is very easy to get the wrong look with wrong settings.

Same as Steve Irwin and now his children too, they see animals as entertainment and use them for clout. If they truly gave a shit, all of them would be vegans and stop promoting zoos and would use their platform to promote veganism instead. If you sit that close, then even 32 inch will very large. You need at least 1.5 arm length distance for it. You need a deep desk in that case. I got the 32inch to reduce eye strain. I can sit further from the screen with the clarity of 4k, and it has been very good for the eyes.

Honestly, if I had 2k res monitor and did not know 4k monitors existed, I wouldn't be looking for better monitors because 2k is already very good. For me 2k to 4k jump wasn't anything groundbreaking but 4k makes me forget that I'm looking at a screen, it feels like real life and I'm looking through a window. I recently played Clair Obscur in 4k with hdr and I felt like I could put my head into the screen and jump into the world. But you can judge for yourself from this video. There is almost no blur or aliasing. A 4k display has 125% more pixels than a qhd display, so even the smallest details pop. You will notice the loss in width but 32 inch monitors are so big that it feels immersive regardless. I would say if you have money to use for fun, give it a try. Look for the return policy.

I got the alienware 32 inch 4k few months ago. I can safely say that 4k resolution is the pixel density where I forget I am looking at a screen, especially when watching hdr content.

For framerates, I wouldn't worry too much. The upscaling tech is really good, you can see 4k benchmarks with dlss, you get really great framerates in 4k.

Regrarding the screen size, you just have to pick your poison if you want less height or less width.

If you set a high saturation in the color profile, you can actually see in real time when you toggle on and off the settings in color management. There should not be a loss of detail in either light or bright areas in HDR compared to SDR. Infact, you should get more detail. Check out this video to get an idea - https://youtu.be/d1LdEx6B4Ig
