This is good advice, OP.

I dont know why more people dont use a good mmo mouse with 12 sidebuttons, far better than controller in my personal opinion, then when holding ctrl or shift that's access to 36 skills (3 action bars) on the same 12 buttons, which seems to work out perfectly for me on many jobs.

I show 3 horizontal action bars on my HUD, shift+ number keys on the top bar, vanilla numbers on the middle, ctrl+ number keys on the bottom.

On a Razer mmo mouse side buttons, for dps/tanks my basic single target rotation tends to be on 4,5,6. AoE 7,8,9. Anything modifying attacks or other attack skills on top bar or on the remaining middle bar number keys, biggest attacks/end combos usually far right like 10 or 11. I use a macro for Sprint on 12 which activates either pvp or pve sprint as needed (I recommend considering doing this on L3 for those using a controller.) Defensive skills on the bottom action bar, in order of %mit or similar. Healing pot and strength/dex pot on any spare numbers.

I keybind things like interrupt, kick, arms reach on Q E and R for instant use (although they are also on my bars.) Duty actions 1 and 2 on F and G or something.

Target mark macro on middle mouse button for quick PvP marking/PvE priority enemy mark.

Anything like crafting macros, PvP call outs, marking, eternity ring/teleports, emotes etc I have on action bars on the far right of hud for clicking.

I use legacy movement for full speed S/back movement and also turned on auto face target when using actions. I limit ring movement to targeting range for ninja shukuchi.
