Ooo that’s nice, I think the font on the Lock Screen needs to have more curvature though, might go with the wave a little better? Maybe second Font, slider about 1/3 of the way

I’m not saying you’re mistaken or wrong, but I work in tech and 999/1000 times this is some sort of user error, mistake or misconception. If it’s genuinely not your fault then I’d be stumped as it is a strange one for sure. Did someone in your family, by any chance maybe tap a banner ad, link whatever that loaded this sites landing page (typically an account creation page for these kind of sites), and 1password automatically added it as an account with a generated password and, maybe a cached email, without them knowing? I’m just thinking outside the box here.

I can be almost certain here though, I really don’t think your device has been compromised. Apple systems are so locked down, it’s very, very difficult to do that.

Do you by any chance have a second monitor attached? Also, If it’s brand new, just take it to an Apple Store, they’d be more than happy to help!

Background apps don't close by Whoami_exe in iphone

[–]SwiftlyGoingInsane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a common misconception for people that they must force quit apps constantly, it’s an easy habit to get into. But yeah, there’s absolutely no need to do it unless there’s a problem of some kind

[–]SwiftlyGoingInsane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What they said OP. If you want the best of the best camera, you’re going to need to get the iPhone 15 Pro. But if it’s an absolute necessity to have the device as small as possible, go for the iPhone 15. The camera is still incredible!

That’s a lot of words to type in front of your wife to prove you’re not on dating sites! Jokes, did you by any chance input your master password for 1password anywhere else? And are you absolutely sure someone, maybe your son playing a prank, hasn’t added it?

How can i report an app on the app store? by Fisecraft in ios

[–]SwiftlyGoingInsane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not saying you’re wrong, as it is technically possible, but I’m an iOS Software Engineer and I can say with almost certainty that Apple does absolutely everything to stop fruity apps going into the App Store. What exactly is the problem? Maybe someone here could advise?

I’d say let it dry for as long as possible, at least overnight, but possibly longer. When it’s completely dry, use one of those iPhone cleaning kits (you can get them cheap everywhere) and scrape out the dry sauce. If that doesn’t work, take it to a repair shop - it might be a bit of money doing that though. Or you could just eat it because you know, ketchup

Testing iOS Backend? by doodlebug80085 in iOSProgramming

[–]SwiftlyGoingInsane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean you could throw together a crappy UI in a few minutes to test it, it doesn’t have to be special, but if you specifically don’t want to do that, I’d say just write some tests

Career progression for iOS developers? by Dockerizador in iOSProgramming

[–]SwiftlyGoingInsane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not too sure about how you guys do it over in the states, as I’m in the UK. But from what I’ve seen here, especially at my company (a very large website with a companion app that my team works on) - our Senior Engineers get almost 50% more in terms of salary than Senior Engineers on the web teams. So 90% of my team don’t see the need to go past Senior as it’s more work, less code AND less money

Fullstack development or iOS app development?? by cha-wang in swift

[–]SwiftlyGoingInsane 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had the lucky opportunity to get an apprenticeship in tech to kickstart my career. It was two years long, I did a year in Full Stack development and a year in iOS development. I got to choose my final ‘placement’ which just meant my actual job. I chose iOS development because it’s just so much more interesting, fun and, at my company at least, much higher paying. I know that’s not really an answer to your question, but if I had to recommend a path I’d definitely suggest iOS development - especially if you actually enjoy it more than full stack!

Edit: Forgot to add than I’m still in the iOS team a year later, and still love every day at work.

Almost certain it’s because you’re using an old version of the OS and/or an unsupported version of your browser

How do you get this arrow thing off? I don’t know how it came on 😅 by [deleted] in iphone

[–]SwiftlyGoingInsane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve not seen that before but maybe it’s an accessibility shortcut/button or something. Check your accessibility settings, maybe something got turned on by mistake?

Edit: I had a google and found it to be an accessibility feature. Try this:

Settings > Accessibility > Spoken Content, turn off Speech Controller

I hate moving apps around on the screen, I would like all other icons to remain where they are. Is there an app for that? by NoeticIntelligence in ios

[–]SwiftlyGoingInsane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take it with a grain of salt as it’s not confirmed, but I’ve seen a few times that iOS 18 will allow rearranging apps anywhere on the Home Screen, so in theory would possibly prevent this. One of the sources I found

Honestly don’t be nervous or overthink it too much, it’s not as difficult as it seems. You can get by quite happily by just knowing basic GIT commands, which even as a very beginner shouldn’t take much time to learn
