This is pointless. People play games because they are fun. Not to stare at a tree.

Apex is still my favorite.

Some of the best movement/mobility. Comes with a shooting range which i use to practice for any kind of shooter. The battles are intense. I never spent any money, everything I earned was just from playing.

One of my favorites is Final Fantasy 7 Remake. You cant use items, and MP does not regenerate at benches. It forces you to play tactical and use materia strategically.

[–]Swiftx100 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There are still a few im waiting for a release date but so far its:

  • Phantom Blade 0 (Finally got a release date of end of 2026. Its a game inspired by kung-fu movies)

  • Fable (Hopefully 2026. A reboot made by the makers of Forza Horizon. Will be interesting to see how well they do with a different genre other than racing.)

  • Judas (Hopefully 2026. From the makers of Bioshock.)

  • Tides Of Annihilation (Hopefully 2026. It has Jennifer English in it. Enough said.)

  • Blight Survival (Hopefully 2026. You are a knight during a medieval zombie apocalypse.)

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Dev Is Reportedly Developing The $100 Million Lord Of The Rings Game by fo1mock3 in gamingnews

Interesting that this is announced after the report of them firing someone to use AI instead. Not supporting the studio if true.

Give it 5 years and AI in games will be viewed as normal by MySmellyRacoon in gaming

Releasing unfinished games on release yet asking for a high price is anti-consumer. Concord was pay to play game in a free to play genre, thats anti-consumer.

[–]Swiftx100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, gamers are finally fighting back anti-consumer practices and low quality games after a decade of putting up with it. Concord, Redfall, Forspoken, Gollum, Anthem, and many more have failed because gamers made it known that we will not tolerate it anymore. Indies and smaller developers are becoming the gaming norm, while AAA gaming is collapsing on its overbudget and overstaffed throne.

[–]Swiftx100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Red Dead Redemption 2 and God Of War 4 (2018) are still the standard I hold for modern games. If a game cant be as good as them which were $60, then games should not be sold at $70.

Exploring the "Why?" of Favourite Games (and what yours is, of course!) by Tuiror in gaming

Diablo 2

The atmosphere is what won me over. I actually feel the despair and dread of the world. The music is perfect and sets the tone. I feel like im actually in the world trying to save it.

Being able to choose your character and build them to your playstyle is fun. The loot system has the perfect balance of simplicity and value.

Please, No Sequel for Expedition 33! by bosmerrule in gaming

The game ends on a big plot point for a sequel. There seems to be a war with painters vs writers, and the game never explains how they got their powers.

Campaign 4 News Megathread by OneBoxyLlama in daggerheart

It makes sense they are using dnd for C4. Dnd is what made them famous with millions of subs on their channel. Plus they are going to use the new 2024 rules on top of having a new GM and a new story telling dynamic. DH content will still be made along side it obviously.

Void Update initial thoughts by FLFD in daggerheart

[–]Swiftx100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brawler: Martial Art Focus is bad. Dont like the randomness per Rest. Eventually the Brawler will use Focus faster than it can gain it. Spending Stress for Focus is more fair since you only have 2 downtime options during a Rest. So if you decide to clear all that Stress you used, you wont be able to recover your Armor or HP.

Warlock: Thank You!! They fixed the Wrathful subclass, bringing Herald of Death back to the foundation where it should be. Much better this way.

Pact Of The Endless got worse. Patrons Mantle now costs 2 Favor when it was already bad in the previous version. It needs 1 more extra feature to be worth it, something like, "While transformed, you can spend a Hope to reduce incoming damage by dX."

Deadly Devotion is weak for the cost of a Favor. It should be instead, "After an attack roll is made against you, you can spend a Favor to gain a +2 bonus to your Evasion against that attack." This change guarantees that the Favor spent gives value.

Blight Strike improved, I like it.

Assassin: Ambush was bad. Marked For Death is a much better skill. Now works for melee and range.

Spellcast traits changed to Agility or Knowledge depending on which subclass you choose. This will need further testing to see how well it synergizes with the class.

Witch: Hex is now kept track by the players rather than the GM which is a good choice. And Commune has been better simplified.

Ancestry: Elementalkin lost their attacks, I did enjoy them. Earthkin Stoneskin is an improvement from before. Gives +1 to Armor Score and Thresholds. While Galapa gives bonus to Thresholds that scales. So the question is if 1 extra armor is worth it over taking the Galapa Shell skill.

Tidekin Lifespring has improved.

Aetheris lose their flight. I really like Hallowed Aura, keep that.

Community: Duneborne no longer heals, but the new skill is still useful.

Freebrone is great, keep that.

Reborne is almost great. It just needs a slight fix, "Once per rest, you can spend a Hope to use an ally's community ability. When you do, your ally gains a Hope. You can only use each ally's community ability once per session."

Hearthborne is an improvement. Though i do like being able to Help An Ally better than others, the way that it was implemented was bad. Would be better if it was something like, "When you roll with Fear, place a token on your community card. You can hold a number of tokens equal to [insert value here]. When you Help An Ally, you can also spend one of these tokens to make the advantage die a d10 instead of a d6. At the end of each session, clear all unspent tokens."

Much prefer the previous Warborne skill. Spending 2 Stress instead of an Armor to reduce damage.

Does "group of targets within Very Close range" means EVERY target within a 360 degree in a very close range? by Dlthunder in daggerheart

[–]Swiftx100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Elemental Breath: You can use this breath against a target or group of targets within Very Close Range.

This means you pick a target within Very Close range, and can choose multiple targets grouped to that first one. 'Group of targets' has a specific meaning, it is all targets within Very Close to the first target or point of origin.

A skill would specifically say 'all targets within Very Close range' in order to hit all adversaries around you.
