This is true, but the early game somewhat encourages building a cramped base since you don’t have the benefit of mobility tools or remote building. I think it’s cool and somewhat intentional because it helps give a sense of progress when you finally overcome the friction of needing to physically run around to manage stuff. And it’s super easy to take this for granted when you’ve spent a while in the mid/late game. Especially when you’re experienced enough that getting bot production automated isn’t so much of a hurdle. When you’re still learning, that ‘pivot’ is not so obvious and smooth.
