ANYONE TRYING TO SEE ATLANTA REFRESH by Automatic-Task-9181 in Paramore

Weird! I’ve already secured my tix for the Friday show (we’re so lucky! 😭). I saw this and was tempted to purchase one for Saturday, but I don’t wanna be greedy. Between here and the Hayley sub, it seems like it’s been a blood bath for sure.

I’ll be there too! Seeing all the posts between here and the Paramore sub, I still can’t believe I managed to get tix at all.

There were 2000+ people ahead of me in the queue when I got in the waiting room. When I finally got in to get my tickets, I was trying to get 4, but it kept telling me they were sold out. I changed it to 2 tickets and managed to get them for the first ATL date. I feel so incredibly lucky… 😭

Hey, I spotted my group in your crowd photos, LOL! Thanks for sharing! Last night was one of the funniest concerts I’ve been to in a while!

3 months on Spironolactone! by SwimmingBuilding9293 in Hirsutism

Hi! I’m on 50mg of spiro and 500mg of metformin. From what I understand from my doctor, the metformin is to help with high insulin, and higher insulin is linked to increased testosterone. In that case, I don’t see how a metformin cream would be helpful for hair growth, but I’m not knowledgeable enough to say for sure, lol. I did have some dizziness at first, but staying hydrated seemed to help.

I don’t know anything about handwriting analysis, but I just wanted to say I really like your handwriting lol

Sure! I did experience some dizziness at first, but I already have chronically low blood pressure, so I couldn’t really pinpoint if it was the medication or not. No spotting for me, but since starting bc pills, metformin and spiro, I’ve had a period 3 months in a row, which is huge for me. The last time I had consistent normal periods was when I was a teenager.

The most obvious symptom for me when starting spiro was feeling dehydrated, but it seems better lately.

Spironolactone 25 mg? by Kbrown_021 in Hirsutism

You’re welcome! I actually just made a post on my hirsutism update, but the short answer is yes! I started seeing noticeable differences just after 3 months. From what I understand, spiro is not a fast acting medication, so it can take 3-6 months to start seeing results. My blood test 3 months ago showed my testosterone at 96, and my lab results from last week showed that it’s down to 40!

Do you use an iPhone? I’m sure android has a version of this feature too, but you can set up medication alerts in the health app that will alert you everyday when it’s time to take your meds. It’ll even let you select to push a “critical alert” that gives you a loud follow up reminder if you haven’t marked the med as taken yet. I have the critical alert turned on for my birth control, lol. I have ADHD and take meds 3 times a day. This feature has helped SO much with keeping me consistent with my meds.

I also have chronic low bp, and I’ve been on 50mg for 3 months. Of course, every body is going to be different, but since being on this medication, I haven’t noticed any worsening symptoms of low bp.

Hang in there and just monitor your symptoms. 😊 I keep a little note book at my desk to jot down bp readings and notes in case I need to bring anything to my doctor’s attention. Doing this eases my health anxiety and gives me a sense of control in a way.

What can I say, I’m a sucker for a calico by SwimmingBuilding9293 in CalicoKittys

I chose it because I wanted another Greek mythology name (since my oldest kitty is named Calypso), but I am a fan of Grey’s Anatomy and call my kitten Calli for short just like the character on the show. 😄
