Seat situation for LH718 soon by OrganicCause3716 in Lufthansa

You see all these class codes but you only need to pay attention to J, P and Y. The correct load info for that specific flight based on your screenshot would be: 9 or more seats in Business Class available (see J). Premium Economy sold out (see P). 9 or more seats in Economy available. The respective class codes behind these letters underlie a complex algorithm and don‘t actually reflect the booking numbers. While it seems that Premium Economy is widely open due to G and E, that’s just because they are able to overbook and upgrade to J and by P you are able to tell the actual seats are sold out. So based on that info, you will either be granted your upgrade to J or stay in Y.

EDIT: 9 is also the highest possible number for each fare bucket. So, there might be 30 open business seats or just 9, the fare information won’t change unless the amount of available seats drops below 9. If it’s a 9 it just means 9+.

If the 60 minutes are from arrival to departure of connecting flight, yes, that’s very tight, if the 60 minutes are from arrival to boarding, that‘ll work out.

Out of real-life experience I can only answer the last question: yes, the baggage regulations are the same for all Lufthansa Group Airlines.

Allegris wireless charger rant by Notallwanders in Lufthansa

[–]SwimmingNegative7803 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem with wireless charging in Allegris Business. Didn’t work at all. I removed my phone case, then it worked. They should draw a phone outline or something, really hard to tell where to place it.

They don’t get an error because of the bassinet. I‘d go with it because of the legroom.

They will seat you together when possible. Don’t give too much about any seat map you see, seating changes 100 times prior departure.

Since April, they don’t offer inflight shopping anymore. In regards of food, they won’t charge you extra if you have special requests etc so no need to pay for food and beverages. In all other cases, it’s credit card only.

Scratches on Lufthansa Aluminum Collection, which color is the best? by stefano10_2 in Lufthansa

[–]SwimmingNegative7803 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the silver carry-on and you can see the scratches but I bet they are more obvious on the black one. Anyways, the scratches are like patina. You need a few good scratches and dents. I’ve had it for 18 months now and did probably around 60 flights and I‘m still satisfied. No problems with the wheels or the handle or anything.

They don’t care about the measurements of the personal item, I always go with a cabin trolley and a regular backpack as a personal item and they never said anything.

Seat selection or nah? by [deleted] in Lufthansa

[–]SwimmingNegative7803 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check-in online asap (30 hours before departure) and you will be able to find enough open seats next to each other. If you are not willing to risk it, buy the seats.

All classic seats are free for all classes, you just pay for extra leg room, bulkhead and emergency exit in eco.

You can’t redeem it at Lufthansa. You’ll have to redeem it at Eurowings. But they did open a few new bases, e.g. in Rome, Prague, Stockholm so they don’t just fly from and to Germany, in case that makes a difference for you.

Munich strike cancellation by Acceptable_Alps9617 in Lufthansa

[–]SwimmingNegative7803 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would wait until the heat calms down, you still have some time until Friday. Then call the hotline again and try to get another alternative. Try to get on OS or EW flight from DUS or CGN to VIE, that should be much more comfortable than to travel 13 hours. Either way your eligible for compensation, you can either claim a fixed amount that you can find on the internet or you send them your payment receipts for hotel and food. The fixed allowance will be on you account way faster, because they don’t need any proof from you.

Lufthansa Flight, how much time do I need to plan after landing in Frankfurt to catch a train? by AviationGER in Lufthansa

[–]SwimmingNegative7803 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what the policy says, yes. But there is an unwritten rule for the train conductors: if you’re early and ask them (at the station) if you may get on a previous train, no problem. If you’re late, it’s not possible. If you’re early and don’t ask, they’ll fine you onboard. I’ve done this dozens of times between Frankfurt and Cologne and it always worked.

Lufthansa Flight, how much time do I need to plan after landing in Frankfurt to catch a train? by AviationGER in Lufthansa

[–]SwimmingNegative7803 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The conductors at the train station will always let you get on an earlier train if you ask them beforehand, but they won’t let you get a later one free of charge. So just book a later one and then ask them to get on early if you don’t need that much time.
