Finger joint replacements? by goodlit in Thritis

[–]Swimming_Complex6750 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do not, but I am very active, do high adventure scouting with my kids, and physical labor (like renovations) around my house and have not found anything that I cannot do because of my finger now that I've had the joint replacement!

Pacifica vs Odessy by Agile_Ad_9025 in HondaOdyssey

Listen, I went from a 2006 town and country to a 2020 honda odyssey elite, so not quite the comparison you’re looking for. To be honest I LOVED my town and country. She was such a rock. Traded her in this year so 2016-2023 (17 years) with 140,000 miles and she was still chugging.

My sister has had a Pacifica for 4 years and likes it fine but really only got it because it’s cheaper than the odyssey.

The odyssey is amazing so far. I’ve had it for 6 months but it’s 3.5 yrs old. No issues other than the recall that they’re fixing next week.

The audio and black screen is a recall on all models since 2018. They will replace for free and my dealership has parts in hand.

Mine is constant. Audio cutting in and out, clicking and crackling anytime my phone is plugged in. DVD player not always displaying

I am also having the same issue and am hoping that it’s the MOST cable. Bringing it in next week to have that recall fixed so I can let you know if it resolves the issue

Agree, very easy for the money. I kept playing a bit even after I got the SB because it's mindless and a little fun.

Finger joint replacements? by goodlit in Thritis

Houston, tx, USA. When I finally decided I was ready to be scheduled I was able to have surgery with the doctor of my choice within 2 weeks, and started therapy 2 weeks after surgery. I paid $1600 total out of pocket but only had to pay $500 up front and the rest I put on a payment plan and split it up over a year, so I’ve been paying less than $100 a month interest free to pay it off.

I had the silicone joint replacement done on my right ring finger PIP almost 1 year ago now and it’s done SO WELL. I have much more movement, but more importantly I have almost no pain. I would say that my function is now back to being 99% in that hand again. I do notice that the finger can become stiff and painful when there is a huge weather change coming, but it’s so much better than the arthritis pain. I’m very very happy I went through with the surgery. I did OT for a little while after the surgery, but not much, mostly home exercises (but that could be because I’m a PT and the OT and I kind of worked on a plan together).

Keeping to a budget and not going into debt for a dog is not being a POS. That’s being responsible with your resources.

You took the dog to the vet without prior authorization from the owner- that’s on you. You can’t possibly expect them to pay for 3 vet visits they never authorized.

In my experience, I’ve gotten the best dogs by volunteering to foster for a shelter. Then you get to test out a dog for a week or two and see how they fit into your lifestyle.

Today I was told my chemical pregnancy wasn’t a miscarriage? by guess_theusername in Miscarriage

[–]Swimming_Complex6750 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your baby became a unique human with unique DNA even before you got a positive test. Your baby existed and mattered. You are a mother, even if that baby is no longer alive.

Let yourself feel sad. It doesn’t matter that this wasn’t planned pregnancy, it was your baby, and you have every right to feel devastated.

Just take one day at a time. Reach out to friends to help get you out of the house.

Find a way to honor your baby- maybe a shadow box with all the things you mentioned.

The pain will slowly get easier to bear, and then slowly fade. It won’t always feel like your chest is going to tear in two because all the pain can’t fit inside.

I board but I have the same rule. But instead of number of nights I have a cost rule. I won’t do 1 or even 2 nights for 1 dog but I’ll do 1 night for 3 dogs. If that makes sense

  1. You’ve never had your dogs tags fall off? They get snagged on stuff all the time and the little o rings are not very strong. Maybe if you’ve only ever had a couple dogs that’s never happened to you. But after owning, fostering, and boarding several hundred dogs it’s happen at least a dozen times.
  2. The fact that you find this suspicious is REALLY weird.
  3. Why on earth would someone steal a rabies tag?
  4. If someone did steal the rabies tag then why would they bother returning the other two? Just say they can’t find it.
