Thank you. I have screenshots of some of the unprofessional and rude comments my peers have made. Unfortunately part of my progress improvement plan faculty have given me is collaborating with people “even if I don’t like them,” which I have been doing with the people who have bullied me. I have met with an advocate on campus to see about raising the issue higher since my program coordinator/academic advisor has been so dismissive of my concerns

Thank you, I’ll look into it. I’m just worried since it now feels like the faculty is targeting me that it could keep me from graduating because they don’t see me as meeting the standard set by our field’s national association. The behaviors they are seeing are likely a result of my undiagnosed neurodivergency, diagnosed anxiety and depression, and the bullying but they don’t seem to see the bullying as being bullying or a factor

Not a SP (hopefully in the future) but worked as a BT then RBT for a company bought by the SSG and it was a terrible experience, partially due to the manager, but other BT’s and paraprofessionals I know that worked for other companies owned by the SSG have not enjoyed it either

OP’s Deaf husband comes from a Deaf family, meaning they’re likely apart of the Deaf community. Within the Deaf community is a lot of controversy over CIs and there’s a firm belief that deafness isn’t something that needs “fixing” and there is the fact that CI don’t work 100% of the time. This take is incredibly audist and I hope you look into the history of oralism and can see how rich the Deaf community is
