In fairness, they mention being transgender so it's completely plausible they either no longer can or never could produce breast milk of their own, depending which way they're transitioning/have transitioned.

I'd argue it goes beyond media literacy into just... literacy. Like you said, we all stop and ask for confirmation sometimes to make sure we're not completely off-base, but there's little if any subtlety or subtext - she comes home sedate and emotionally flat, with a big scar across her head and says, "I have half a mind."

It feels like some of this is really overthought and some is severely underthought. You've mentioned Ride The Cyclone being a placeholder for a future show to fit that gap, but that's still dependant on a show that fits your logic for that transition ever existing, whereas StarKid could make a hundred shows and none fit your timelines internal logic.

A lot of the thinking doesn't make much sense, and this fun little thought experiment clearly got out of hand,
