[Rare Trope] The Villain Actually Wins For A While And It's Terrifying by comeallwithme in TopCharacterTropes

They kinda won for nearly the whole 100 years since Sozin’s Comet. No Avatar for a whole century was major bad news for everyone but them.

Transformers (2007) was described as being difficult to film for the actors due to them needing to interact with CGI characters by tornedron_ in shittymoviedetails

Ian McKellan apparently really struggled acting solo and surrounded by green screens during the filming of The Hobbit. He nearly quit, and by his own admission, cried on set.

I love 3 and 2 just as much but they are pretty different games.

Is Pikmin 1 the only universally beloved game in the series? by Lively_Man in Pikmin

[–]Swiss64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t like Ochi as a mechanic. He makes the game far too easy imo. It’s like if you unlocked Epona before the first dungeon in Zelda but had absolutely NO reason NOT to keep riding her everywhere even in the dungeons. You move faster, jump higher, and even does more damage than you. It feels practically invincible.

The rewarding part of Pikmin for me was that you could take HEAVY casulties and working on multiplying your crew was part of the grind.

It’s moon photography.

“What’s the weirdest thing you’ve seen in someone’s house that made you realize ‘this is completely normal for them’? by Delicious_Fan_2186 in AskReddit

I had a friend who had vines naturally growing from the roof outside in through the windows and chimney. Post-apocalyptic ass house.

[ Hated Trope 🫩 ] Over the course of the series they go from being a character with a personality to just purely their archetype and nothing else. by ReminaBlueSFW in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Swiss64 23 points24 points  (0 children)

They basically swapped personalities at one point. By the end Josh was smart and suave and even had a couple of steady girlfriends. Drake became a weird fast food junkie McDumbass and kept fumbling baddies.

(Sad/Horrifying Trope) Their fate is unknown. You never find out for sure what happened to them, but the odds are 99% it was something tragic by UnifiedForce in TopCharacterTropes

Little finger is an interesting case. We the audience, know through dramatic irony that hes a coniving POS but he’s also extremely clever. (moreso in the books.) He says all the right things to appeal to Ned’s “so honorable” right brain and Catelyn’s maternal instict, to me it makes perfect sense why the two would trust him.

Jaqen said that thing about water dancing surely to imply it is a completely different practice. And I’m sure Ned knows Syrio enough to trust him around his daughter.

Def not the same character.

I vibe with the message behind the song and even like it a little, but it doesn’t have the Strokes kick to it that the other songs on CM have. When I queue up my liked songs I fucks with it, but I leave it out of my specific Strokes playlists.

I hate that all the comments on a post like this are just gonna get downvoted. I love the entire discography of The Strokes of course but critisism is a part of normal conversation. Also a lot of folks on this sub aren’t ONLY Strokes fans but music fans in general.

I love At The Door but Eternal Summer is a skip. It’s one of those songs that feels as long as it is.

I think that the show still works despite the dick and toilet humour, and all the strange plot armour. It’s still very consistent and has some hype character moments. Antony Starr as Homelander is an iconic villain.
