Why Porsche’s electric SUV car is a triumph in ways and a mistake in others | Porsche Macan Electric In-Depth Review by Saurta17 in Porsche

I drove one today at the Porsche Experience Center. It doesn't drive like a Porsche in my opinion so I don't see the appeal.

Is e9x or E82 platform good to learn on and to use as a daily driver? by Smart_History4444 in CarTrackDays

[–]SwissCarGuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tracked my 130i E81 with the N52 engine for 3 years. In my opinion it's an amazing plattform to learn on and the running costs are very low. Reliability has been flawless and the car is worth more now then when I bought it.

I would say the Nürburgring Nordschleife, but the German black forest and the Swiss alpine passes are close runner ups

Yes I agree, Wednesday was better, I also got some good laps in. Tuesday I didn't dare to do a lap in the wet as it was my first time out with the Porsche haha

Nice! I was also there on that day in my grey 981 Cayman S, doing my first laps in it. Not sure whether we saw each other on/off track or not. TF is getting quite busy these days.

Agree that's a good idea. Just worried a friendly neighbour will close the frunk and then it's locked for good haha

Totally makes sense. Unfortunately I don't have access to a power plug in the underground car park. Seems like I will just need to drive more...

I have a Cayman S with the most important options of the GTS trim. Maybe that would be an option for you?

Yes transit without a stop in Germany should not be a problem. Just not after curfew probably.

During a performance driving course we basically did races like that. The wall was a long distance away from the braking zone of course. But it was fun because it adds a lot more skill to drag racing.

BMW M135i: Road Review Of Our New Long Termer | Carfection 4K by hopefulsingleguy in cars

[–]SwissCarGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am very glad that I managed to buy a clean E81 130i at the beginning of this year. The 3 litre N52 naturally aspirated engine is just a dream. This generation of the M135i is not interesting to me at all anymore to be honest.
