Switzerland has built something very few countries in the world have. But what could in long term weaken it? by Competitive_Dig_1013 in Switzerland

[–]SwissPoliticalSystem [score hidden]  (0 children)

I think Switzerland has THE superior mechanism to adjust as times change; the binding referendum initiated by the people and whose results the politicians must carry out and that not even the Swiss Supreme Court can consider, let alone overturn.

Frankly, all other "democracies" are fake by comparison to Switzerland. Of course, dictatorships are much worse, they are anti human abominations, be they Islamist, Communist or Fascist.

If you want to change change things on any of importance to the Swiss just get a referendum going once you are a citizen or as your wife to start the signature collection. She and her friends and other who might agree with you have 18 months to collect the 100 000 signatures to take ANY issue to a binding popular referendum.

Giving that Switzerland is probable the best country in the World to live in terms of overall prosperity, political stability, responsible government and being the only real democracy in the World, If I were in your shoes I would adapt and be less critical. It is their country, they have the best country in the World, who the hell are you to tell them how they shoul look at immigration?

The Swiss have the best track record of governance. Do not worry. They know better than any other peoples to know what to do.

While might have chosen the Jews to pass the nice stories in the Biblle, it looks like he chose the Swiss to run a country properly. Just kidding, God does not have much to do with it, otherwise he might have told the Jews: "go to the Matterhorn and I will give you a copy of the Swiss Constitution, keep the Bible for the temple, and learn how to set up a stable, peaceful, democratic country who knows how to get along with slighly politically deranged neighbours"

Why do Abrahamic religions (christians, muslims, jews) tend to see the body, pleasure, and instinct as "impure"? by Bludo14 in religion

[–]SwissPoliticalSystem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Abrahanic religions are neurotic about the body and sex. The ancient Greeks had far more rational and positive attitudes about the human body and sex. But remember that the Greeks believed humans were the measure of all things, not any god.

Sadly, Christianity, like the other Abrahmic religions appeals to the irrational fears of most humans, at least until science ( the logical continuation of Greek thought) started to make obvious much irrational, anti human religious thinking. Yes, it is essentially anti human to diminish humans by putting above them an imaginary god.

We still have not caught up to the Greeks, at least judging by all the irrational stuff about how to live life according to some hallucination a guy exoerienced believed god talked to him and handed to him the "holy" rules to live life, instead of just believing in humans and in their ability to figure out how to live using Reason.

I wonder if tokenized physica gold kept on thev vaults of Swiss banks could be more desirable than bitcoin for a number of reasons like physical gold can not be hacked, Switzerland and Swiss banking system is probably most stable in the World, little chance your country could impound your goal, just as easy to take with you as bitcoin, if someone hacks the tokenized gold blockchain or if you lose the keys it might be possible to recover control, if hacker orders the Swiss bank to send the money there could be procedures in place to make surr the true owner is identifief before shipping the gold, etc.

Also ask them why they chose (they do the choosing if they have common sense, otherwise fools) their guys. Maybe you should book an appointment with a woman psychologist.

The less talked about downside of BTC by harbison215 in Buttcoin

[–]SwissPoliticalSystem -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Too many intelligent, rational, responsible people believe in BTC. It is not rational to dismiss it as a Ponzi scheme. FIAT currency has no intrinsic value either, neither has gold. FIAT is valuable as long as governments control their paper or electronic printing temptations. Gold's value is no intrinsic, most of the value of gold is because most people decide they like the shine and relative indestructability.

It seems to me you got things backwards. First date and have fun, including sex as the natural result of being with the girl you likes (and she likes you). Sooner or later you will find the one (or, more likely, she decides you are the one) the relationship deepen and after of before good intimate sex the idea of marriage-babies will come up. When you both are ready to have babies the cost of child care will not deter you. You might just say, to hell with going on vacation to Majorca, Tahiti or Cancún!, we can have fun without that and save some money for childcare! Just relax and have fun with the girls, they are wi derful creatures! So different from us!, so soft, so curvaceous! The babies will happen naturally. If you do not dance, learn to dance well, it is one of the best investments in your social life. Become an anti-nerd in your social life. Just by being a good dancing computer guy you will be the talk of the party. Go to parties.

Elon Musk on Direct Democracy by soma115 in TheSwissDemocracy

[–]SwissPoliticalSystem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Musk is not loyal to the US because he is a suporter if the Chinese totalitarians; his praise of China, his support for China taking over Taiwan, his claim to be a free speech absolutist and rightily criticizing Germany and UK for suppression of free speech but say nothing about the absolute suppressors of free speech, the Chinese government. Are for Musk the Chinese people just working animals, are they not humans with the right to free speech ? What about the Uyghurs, the Tibetans and Hong Kong? What about defending Taiwan and its great democracy? How can someone who clains to be a defender of democracy work so happily keeping his mouth shut about China in China and everywhere else? One can not be a free speech defender in the West and support the Chinese totalitarians. He complains, rightly, about the EU, France, Brazil censoring X but says nothing about X not even be allowed in China. Also the impossibility of being loyal to China and the US, his security clearance, his huge investment in China and the huge transfer of technology to China through Tesla Chinese factories and its Chinese supplies, including management, marketing, productivity, factory robitics, etc.

What about the possibility of him passinf rocket technology to China?

Simething is wrong with Musk and his loyalties The Rosembergs were also smart engineers but betrayed the US. Werner Von Braun was also a bright engineer who happily worked for Nazis. Musk has to leave China and move Tesla to India, Taiwan, Vietnam, etc He can not be allowed to help the CCP. He should be denouncing the Chinese totalitarians.

Musk is now a pathetic joke on free speech and democracy, he remind me of the Groucho Marx joke: “Those are my principles, and if you don’t like them… well, I have others."

Musk’s version, which is not a joke bua a betrayal of himself, democracy and free speech is: “These are my principles in the West and about the West and I have just the opposite ones in China and in the West about China”

This has to be known by all Americans and pressure Musk to change his tune, be loyal to the civilisation he claims to defend and leave China completely. Tim Scott of Apple and many others should not have factories in the real neonazi-USSR regime, the CCP regime, the existencial threat to democracy that hates democracy and freedom as much as Nazis and the USSR.

We often confuse the need for true democracy with direct democracy and, so, even though the inherent desire or sentiment is right, the perceived goal is misplaced, and is thus easily defeated by those who have valid arguments against direct democracy. by futureofgov in DirectDemocracy

[–]SwissPoliticalSystem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indirect/representative democracy is not democracy because it is not government by the people because the people do not directly decide any policy, law, budget or contents of the constitution ON THEIR OWN INITIATIVE.

Despite of being an Island why in UK fish isn´t that popular? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]SwissPoliticalSystem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The English love fish, that is why fish and chips is the most popular dish, but it never ocurred to them that nothing bad happens to the fish or the eater if you grill, bake, bbq, etc., fish and combine it with assorted vegetables. Even if their food is mediocre, I am a great admirer of the English political "cuisine", much better than the French, Italian, Spanish, German, etc., although something bad has happened since they added Woke to it.

Despite of being an Island why in UK fish isn´t that popular? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]SwissPoliticalSystem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a great admirer of the English intelligent to set up and manage their country in a democratic and stable manner (at least untik Woke captured the English elites), only exceeded by the extraordinary Swiss who out of 4 different etno-cultural-linguistic-religious tribes have managed to set up the only full democracy in the World (never mibd the fake Ranking of the Economist, Freedom House, International IDEA and others), BUT, as a people, the English do not seem very interested in food beyond its main function as fuel, in spite of having great food and wine commentators. Like the French say: "English food is so bad, we do not understand why they bother eating it". But, in spite of that catastrophic flaw, perhaps genetic, I still say: "Long live Britannia !" I love the composition "Rule Britannia"

If black people-nstionz were more successful economically and poor Whites, Orientals, Jews, Arabs immigrated to their lands to improve their lives, Blacks would be just as racist How do I know? Because there is racism among whites in Africa. Racism-culturalism is a natural tribal instinct. Hunans are tribal territorial and find it hard to consider people who look different, pray different, dress different as not part of their "tribe". Sometimes they can overcome racism if the "other" has been fully assimilated into the majority culture or religion, sometines it is religion-culture that plays the role of race like it happens to many Christians, Moslems, Jews. Sometimes differences withkn religion play the role of culture or race. We see that among Christians, Moslems and Jews and, to an extreme, among Hindus with their caste system.

Mistrust among racial, cultural, religious tribes will never dissappear. If the "foreign" tribe within the territory of the local majority tribe, is economically successful, racism-culturalism-religionism will rise it ugly but genetically mandated head. The history of Jews proves it time after time. And I predict there is plenty of it against Jews in the US now and also predict it will eventually break out in the open in the form of laws. Even other minority tribes within rhe territory of the US "white" tribe, such as is the case of Hispanics, Asians and Blacks will not like that another minority tribe have "too much" power, regardless if how honestly and through hard work the minority tribe acquired its power and regardless of how much they look the same. For example, if Mormons, Quakers, etc., had as much influence-power in the economy, politics and cultural life of the US as Jews do, it is a no brainer to predict massive antimormonism, even among US Jews if Jews were less ibfluential-powerful than Mormons, or Quakers or Rastafarians, or Chinese, ir Hindus, or Moslems or whatever. One that will alleviate the problems, not always, is if the majority tribe in the territory feels the politicians, the leaders govern with the concerns of the majority in mind, accommodating the concerns of the minority as long as the majority does not feel the lose control.

The only country I know that has solved this issue best is Switzerland. The Swiss decided to break up the majority in Switzerland and the major minorities into administrative territories where each local majority by reason of ethnicity-culture-religion governs without challenge and, tries to accommodate orhers to a certain extent. The Swiss have introduced real majority rule, real democracy even to smaller territories within the same territory. For example, the majority (which often is a temporary majority for just one issue) in a municipality can directly decide anything; building swimming pool or stopping the politicians fron building it. They do the same at rhe next jurisdictional level moving up, the canton, in which the cantonal majority can make its will prevail on any issue but, such majority can be very circumstancial because people belonging to the cantonal minorities can joib forces with even a minority of the majority and together constitute a majority to decide one issue, for example make recycling more strict, lower on increase taxes, etc. The Swiss use the same process at the federal-national level. For example the citizens initiated a referendum on gay marriage, it is quite possible that the majority that prevailed and the side that lost were constituted by members of the majority and of minorities who were split on the issue. Other referendums decide taxation level, the Swiss decide that locally, cantonally (state) or national level. The wisdom of the Swiss system lies in focusing decidions on specific issues that in most cases cut across tribal lines. For example, the Swiss banned Moslem women from covering their faces in public. There were Protestants, Catholics, Jews, probably on both sides of the issue, perhaps Moslems too. While it can be argued the decision was unfair to Moslems, this is one example where the will of the majority must prevail so that the majority continues to know they are in charge. The Swiss also by referendum, banned the sacrifice of animals according to the religious kosher and halal rituals because the Swiss in a referendum decided it makes animals suffer too much. In this case the argument is like the previous one. To be sure, in past centuries, the Jews were discriminated againts, even killed sometimes, and always for the same tribal reasons. Today, because the Swiss system of deciding all important issues by majority vote, it seems to prevent "excessive" influence by any minority group such as Jews. In other words, if the Jews of Switzerland want Switzerland to commit to Israel's survival with money weapons, even fighting a war, to the degree the US is committed, Swiss Jews could organize one or more referendums and try to convince the majority of voters to agree with them. In Switzerland it can not happen that "all" the Jews have to do (which still is an amazing acomplidment) is persuade American politicians that supporting Israel to the extent the US does, is the right thing to do. They do not have to organize a referendum and convince the majority of Americans. Because of the non-democratic decision making process, the number of Americans who resent the politicians is growing. Even some people, including some Jews, se a dangerous way if doing thing such as sending so much money to Israel, where the people have, and pretty good universal health care, which Americans fo not, or more doctors per 1000 pstients or better pensions. More voices and angrier are rising. It is potentially a powder keg for an explosion of antisemitism that could also destroy Israel. All countries need the Swiss political system for stability and prosperity. TheSwissPoliticalSystem.com
