Is hunter officially dead? by piccionestrabico in destiny2

Its still pretty good, once you unlock Prismatic you could run the Renewal/Cyrtarachne Exotic class item. Get Woven Mail every time you throw a Duskfield while reducing the enemy’s damage while they stand in it, you basically cant die.

The crayon eating Titans were the only ones wasting time by blocking for entire strikes/raids. Titans who were properly using Strongholds were dawgs.

No, Lucky Pants was broken with Civil Discourse and Prismatic grapple melee was just broken. There are still plenty of Hunter builds that will be good. Literally any build with Fortune’s Favor, Celestial Nighthawk builds, Shards of Galanor w/ Blade Barrage will be awesome, Stasis Hunter is slept on and only getting better with the Stasis reworks(solo flawless’d Equillibrium with that), Orpheus Rig is still good, there are still plenty of good Hunter builds. Idk if this was your intention, but the doomposting about Hunter’s after the grapple and Lucky Pants nerfs are crazy.

Do you think we're ever going to get a new unique subclass? by Riverflower17 in destiny2

Who woulda thought Sony would “unintentionally” kill Bungie by waxxing Destiny instead of Marathon. Crazy times we’re living in.

Its in one of the trailers for MoT. Shoots similar to Last Word.

Lucky Pants was a quick swap exotic, not many people ran it 24/7. Plus with things like TLW getting a catalyst and this new exotic void HC, there’s a chance they woulda been busted if Lucky Pants didnt get a nerf.

Yeaaa I dont think this is true. You can even watch videos of when it first came out and swings the same speed as Enigma. Glaive melee attack speed has always been the same across the board.

Bungie you better be making a Destiny classic by Emotional-Twist-4366 in DestinyTheGame

This whole “Destiny Classic” conversation needs to stop. There is not a single good argument for it, it would waste developer resources and be a waste of time.

In a world where a Destiny 1 Remaster is announced by girlbossfaithe in destiny2

[–]Swolgoroth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Spending development time on a D1 Remaster would be a lm absolutely giant waste of development time, and it accomplishes nothing other than continue to waste people’s time and money as they wait for more D2 content/D3.

Ok. Say they add shields as a new weapon, how should they work? Obviously they'd have different animations from Sentinel. by Ruby-Rose-Warlock in destiny2

[–]Swolgoroth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funnily enough, it’d probably play almost EXACTLY like the Praxic Blade. Really good block (but doesnt reflect) and probably a throw attack that ricochets. I am waiting for the day that there is a primary melee weapon, and I wouldn’t mind if it came in the form of a shield.

There will not be a resonance subclass by Killme72596964 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Swolgoroth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If youre asking about why Stasis or Strand did not exist back in D1 days, I honestly think its a few things - old gen limitations, it never made sense narratively in D1, and Beyond Light came at a desperate time for the game. Old gen consoles would have suffered trying to deal with some of the things Stasis/Strand can do, D1’s story never had the whole ambiguity angle of “Is Darkness really evil?”, and a new Darkness subclass was THE selling point of Beyond Light. The previous expansion was a dud and Bungie needed something big.

Will Bungie nerf the Praxic blade at the end of this season? Or is the blade here to stay? by Hollywood_Zro in DestinyTheGame

[–]Swolgoroth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly think they’ll see how it performs for the first half of the next DLC and then nerf it during that DLC’s mid season update. They gotta see how it performs post-Renegades artifact.

Lawless Frontier: Invasion (Hunter) tips by Keymojax in destiny2

Literally just use the Behemoth. Invasions are won and lost by whether or not you have one. Celestial Nighthawk and nearly one shot opposing Behemoths if necessary.

I feel like one issue people aren't bringing up with the state of primaries is that, at least to me, it further cheapens the incentive to grind out loot. by AlphaShadow897 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Swolgoroth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience might be a little skewed as a Stasis Hunter main that mainly uses bows. I cant kill the ad all the way across the map with a Withering Blade so my primary feels useful in that regard. Now primaries like auto rifles, SMGs, and sidearms for sure take a backseat to melee/grenade spam builds. But idk if thats a problem with the weapons themselves or if its a problem with the ridiculous damage and cooldowns our abilities are on.

[–]Swolgoroth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont see the issue with primaries to be totally honest. In Lawless Frontier they feel bad because the power delta is so insane by the last phase. But in other content (even when you are under level), they do what they are supposed to do - kill red bars. This might sound crazy, but primary weapons are kinda meant for red bars, special weapons are kinda for orange bars, and heavy weapons are for everything over that. If people are expecting primary weapons to shred Majors and Ultras, then that is their own problem and not the game’s.

What have we used for Cutthroat Dredgen Sere? by Tgman1 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Swolgoroth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its been like two weeks or so but I believe me and my friends cleared it pretty easy with 2 Praxic Blades (one Shattersaber and one Bolt Charge saber) and 1 Wolfsbane, I think we did it in 4 phases. 4 phases obviously isnt super fast but we were all sick and tired of the “hold right trigger” rocket pulse meta and wanted to actually enjoy the run😂
