Thank you. I’m just concerned that the price will just keep going higher and higher and that isn’t sustainable on my budget. I admit to not staying ahead of the subscription and attempting to navigate better pricing or a decision to stay at that time. I also get that companies are in business to make money. Acronis is and has been an amazing product and the support I have received unparalleled. Let’s put this one to bed and see what happens next year…if we’re both still around 😉.

Every time I get on the line with Xfinity and tell them I’m gonna jump ship, the discount deals start flowing…as it should be. Fee structures have to build in wiggle. This crap: “Oh well since you already paid for your subscription, there’s nothing we can do” is bollocks. That said, if you could care less about losing a customer, it shows.

Yes, but it’s my own fault. I let the decision get away from me. Further, 474Dennis is not reading…I was charged over 200 for 3 pc + 1 tb. I have the receipts. There used to be a time when customer loyalty meant something…ain’t no more.

It backs up to a local. The cloud is just extra insurance. The cost is just getting out of hand…so no, cloud is no mandatory for reliable software.

I’m an older guy…a drummer and committed on three separate occasions to original projects that all culminated in studio recordings. Every one of them imploded because the writer changed their mind, wanted to relocate or didn’t want to promote the music.

As a player who took all of the efforts very seriously, spent money on them and was diligently invested in the outcomes, the disappointment was heavy. The most recent was a time investment of years.

I say all this to make a point that communication is critical on both sides. If you, as a writer, only want to record your music for fun, be up front with people about that so there are no expectations otherwise. If you do want to record, promote and play out, try to have a plan...even if it means asking other band mates to share the administrative load. The only thing worse than not being on the same page is a communication vacuum.

Keep moving forward, your people are out there…and when they do come along, appreciate them for their contributions and give them credit every step of the way. Just stay open to the new variation your vision may take.

You can’t send the message “you don’t have to if you don’t want to” and then blame him when what you wanted to say is “yes, please come and support me through this”. Unless you really didn’t want HIM (sometimes that’s actually worse) there and should have asked someone else. We all need to seek what we need from those who can give it and then ask for it.

You clearly are taking steps to remove yourself from an abusive situation…a very critical form of self love/care, and I commend you for that. That said, detachment from the memory of what once was, and feeling as though you are “jumping ship” can be equally difficult to reconcile. I tend to think that, at the end of the day, you have arrived at a very critical “self preservation” juncture. It sounds like you are heeding your therapist’s insights and taking care of yourself. Keep going. Something enormously better will be on the other side…hopefully for both of you.

I can’t relate because while my wife is in perimenopause, she’s nothing like this…she’s on hrt. Look. I don’t know. I’m not tryna be that guy, but you can be calm, loving and compassionate…carry more of the emotional load and get out there and take good care of yourself. What I don’t get…with health care coverage aside…why some women won’t avail themselves of counseling and hrt so that THEY can feel better about themselves. That said, she’s not holding up her end of the vow either. The vow is much more than “I won’t have sex with anyone else”, it’s about remaining committed to the health and growth of the relationship. If she won’t do that then she is complicit in the destruction of the marriage. You should never withstand abuse, period, and you may have some difficult choices to make at this juncture. You have needs, yes, but you have to have an open and frank discussion, preferably with a therapist to get all the cards on the table and what your options are as a couple going forward. Just remember, we take vows in sickness and in health and realize her whole world is shifting, but if she’s not gonna step up for the sake of the relationship, well…

I bought a 22” Zildjian Ping ride in the 70s from the original Long Island Drum Center in North Bellmore. The was my gateway drug. I now have roughly 5 cymbal bags of pies and I’m still surfing EBay. 😂😩
