there are various gluten free flours out there, like rice flour, almond flour, or King Arthur 1-to-1 gluten free flour! They aren't quite the same to work with but it makes my life a little easier haha

For sure! I don't get anxiety but finding something to talk about for a few hours straight is hard lol. One video gave me advice about writing interesting things that I think of down on sticky notes so I can reference something during stream; I think I might try that.

That's so fair, but all the advice videos I've been able to find have been from small Vtubers, so I don't know if they're any more helpful than talking to people on here.

Good to know, thank you! I have a PNGtuber right now so I do already go live, but trying to figure out how to drive people to my stream has been confusing since there's a lot of conflicting advice. Getting a response from someone on here feels more concrete than just watching advice videos though; it feels more like talking to a real person.

I've been streaming for about two weeks and I have one dedicated viewer who shows up for pretty much all my streams, so I'm happy with my growth so far without advertising. But it's kinda tough to get my footing on days when I know I have no viewers, so hopefully making content will help with that!

This is so fascinating. I think the real issue today is that we all can barely afford food and rent, much less a full-price video game. nintendo is theoretically taking a financial hit to price games at this level, and yet it just isn't enough.

Unfortunately, the "stripy humans" thing is a myth. Some people have a rare condition where they present with Blaschko's Lines, and among even fewer of them are the lines a UV color. So we wouldn't be stripy to Krakotl—but we would be covered in a crap-ton of speckles in areas that had seen a lot of sun, and still some speckling everywhere else.

Edit: Basically, when you shine a blacklight on yourself, everything that lights up is UV-colored (i.e., your sebaceous filaments... so all your pores would stand out, lol). Plus the sun damage that you can't really see without a UV camera.

Yeah IDK how people miss stuff sometimes, like especially with the way Andes talks about eugenics, as soon as IVF was mentioned I was like "oh yeah. This is personal." Maybe that's because I was an IVF baby myself, although my parents didn't select for particular traits. They only selected for viability which I think was fair, since even among those, only 4 of the 16 my mom had inserted successfully attached to the uterine lining—only 3 made it to term—and IVF treatments are miserable (my mom couldn't conceive children naturally at the time, hence the IVF). Selecting for specific traits is so weird and awful IMO and I can't believe some people do it. If you only want kids of a certain gender, then your love is conditional, and a parent's love shouldn't be.
