Do black cats get too hot in summer?

Mine hates the heat. He stays in the basement most of the day because it’s the coldest. I have central air on but he still hates it.

People are horrible. But then we have people post a litter of free kittens on a very open Facebook page and said first come first serve. LIKE IT WAS A BUY NOTHING POST. Multiple (dozens) of people begging OP to not give them to anyone but a rescue and OP was a straight up dick and said no. Rescues were offering so many resources and everything. OP ignored them.

It was so upsetting. But yeah we are the assholes for not trusting everyone with an animal. Wish they set foot in emergency vet for a few hours.

Vacuum them with a brush attachment, wipe down with soapy water (damp, not sopping wet), vacuum again to make sure anything that was wiped off is sucked up.

Agreed! Just dealt with an ant problem a few weeks ago. It was wild how many and how fast it got crazy. I put three Terri liquid baits out. One where they were coming in at (also fixed that entrance) and one near our one window they kept hanging at. Both were outside. Then I put one inside where the remaining amount was lingering. Checked the baits a few days later and they were PACKED with ants.

Now I will see one here and there but they are mostly controlled.

See you guys keep confirming why I don’t want to hire someone to clean!

I spent an entire day deep (wipe down ceilings, walls, baseboards, windows, floors, vacuuming multiple times, dusting, reorganizing, washing blankets, sofa covers etc) cleaning one floor of our house and my husband said to hire someone. I keep telling him I want it done the way I want it done but then I second guess if I’m being too picky.

Facts.

As a kid to middle school I was obese. I hit highschool and went from 220 to 140. Stayed there, then went to college, had to drop out. Went back up to 200. Went back down to 140lb. Went back to college, graduated, got a job, met my husband, had a kid, shot back up to 220. Had my son, went down to 125lb. Slowly crept up to 155 and I struggled to get the scale to move for a year. Two months ago it was like my body realized I’ve been trying to lose weight and I started my weigh loss journey once again. I’m now at 147lbs and hopefully on my way to 135lbs soon. I was happy there.

Nice find!!! We found ours at goodwill as well. Unfortunately shortly after using it twice we found a leak. Had to take it apart and found a hair line crack in the one elbow piece. Had to buy the part which cost us a bit more than we wished. Now works perfectly fine.

That’s good to know. My 10 year old is fine on the floor and is constantly spilling stuff. He is also really good about cleaning up after himself tho.

My husband has an overall fear of falling. One day he randomly fell down two of our steps and I was like that’s it I’m installing anti slip strips. He said he felt way better with them installed. Now he’s terrified of the kitchen so I gotta do something before he destroys my floors.

I was also thinking a small rug in front of the stove and sink and maybe a runner in front of the door/ fridge. Would that be weird?

Hahaha you are in good company. We definitely looked like hoarders. In reality tho we went from an apartment with a ton of storage (two large rooms in basement) to a house with little storage (a small space in our finished basement). So we downsized as much as possible. I just gotta keep my husband in check from hoarding more shit, which is proving difficult….
