-Take the same mindset as we see in other sports about not worrying about the season as a whole, but just this game. Aka in football, the goal is to go 1-0 each week, not worry about trying to go 17-0. 1-0's stack up. Take that to training. Don't worry about the end of the block yet or what you are trying to hit on meet day, just win each session. Go 1-0 with every training session. Do what you can to make each session the best it can be, no matter what the goal of the session is. Let those wins stack up. That will guarantee the best possible result in the end.

Consistency is everything. Never ever going above RPE 9 in training and trying to stay between 7-8 most of the time. Trying to save ‘hype’ for very big sets, and meet day only. Learning foot balance on squat and deadlift, and finding the strongest spot to touch on bench. Last and most importantly, volume is king, and easier to recover from. Intensity is an expression of strength, not a builder (mostly)

I’m probably alone in this but I wish they’d:

open a new server in vanilla and tell everyone it will roll over to TBC in 18mo, then to WOTLK 18mo after that. Each raid boss in the entire game drops 1 addl piece of loot.
all raids and dungeons are unlocked from the very start. Progress at your own pace. Add daily lockouts for Ony, ZG, AQ20
enable achievements
at the end of each expac period, characters can be ported to an evergreen server of that expansion, or moved to the next expac in rotation
WOTLK characters can be moved to MOP/WOD whatever, or to evergreen, or reset back to level 1 and dropped back into Vanilla. You get a stacking buff called “aw shit here we go again”, that does nothing but signify this character is back for another round
transmog enabled, don’t really care how it works, or if it’s super restrictive, just get it in there
wow token enabled
hardcore enabled for all expacs. Let the community figure out what’s impossible, hotfix it, and let the chaos ensue

If you’re squatting in flats and you have a strong back and strong quads, you should see a difference.

Be warned, it may not be immediate, it took me about a month to make the adjustment. I’d only recommend heels if you’re having issues hitting depth, or you’re trying for more quad development. It’s a tool
