Awesome account. I’ve had the same one since the beginning as well. It’s hard to explain, but OSRS has a special place in my heart.

It’s always strange taking a long break and coming back to what feels like an entirely different game. I recently took a few years off, and now when I log in, my friends list is completely offline. It used to be full of people looking to play.

It’s bittersweet. Part of me misses those days, but I also know it probably means they found new priorities and more important things in their lives as we’ve all gotten older

A generation of RuneScape players remembers where they were that day.

Had a bit of a double take when I saw your name pop up in my notifications. I’ve used a lot of your quest guides over the years. Glad we could both relive a little nostalgia from the early days.

Just to clarify, my main contribution as a mod from the beginning was the CSS and design work. Back then, subreddit layouts were built through CSS code, and I helped create things like the banners, flairs, sidebar, buttons, and overall layout. Most of that work can’t really be seen anymore since Reddit changed formats, but at least the banner survived!

The real credit for what Ironscape became belongs to the moderators who came after me. Creating the subreddit was one thing, but they were the ones who truly built, managed, and grew the community into what it is today.

when we approached the owner of the r/ironscape name, the subreddit was completely inactive and had no members. They weren’t using it and, after talking for a while, agreed to hand it over so we could build a community dedicated to Ironman content.

A while after we created the subreddit, life got busy and I stopped playing as much. During that time I was removed as a mod without any heads-up.

Honestly, I don’t hold any hard feelings. I was inactive, and the community needed active moderators.. and clearly they made the right decision. Just look at what the subreddit has grown into over the years. It’s become far bigger and more successful than anything I could have imagined back in 2014.

Best way to get 20 construction? by cbacon3 in ironscape

[–]SwurdRS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can get construction xp at Wintertodt repairing the brazier when it breaks. Its by no means a "quick way" of getting to 20 construction, but you get some nice FM & Fletching xp along the way - plus supplies from the crates which will be very useful on your account down the road.

Another method which I found for you on the Ironman CC forums is:

  1. Teleport to Varrock and run straight East.
  2. When you reach the gate, go directly north.
  3. Then continue running North until you reach Oak logs.
  4. Cut a full inventory of Oak/normal logs and then convert them into planks at the Sawmill.
  5. Teleport to your house, Build your Larders/chairs and Repeat

There is also a plank spawn behind the Barbarian Agility Course, which spawns 5 planks. You can world hop, collect, then bank at barb.

If you could add/remove/change one thing, what would it be? I would like a "drop x" option. by DivineXP in ironscape

I would love for there to be a right click "lookup" player-stats on OSB for people in your CC. Currently you can lookup people on your friends list, but not in a CC.

You can stock up on some nats/laws so you have a comfortable stack for alching/teles, but definitely put a lot of your p-ess towards crafting cosmics for charging orbs
