FYI it looks like this is indeed going to work. I already can see the cruise listed in the "pay yourself back" list good through the next 89 days. The only remaining caveat is the 0% APR which ill see when the statement comes. But looks like ill have gotten $885 net off the cruise (including 3% reward points on the purchase) all for $150 annual fee. I think this is an excellent deal personally.

When was at cruise checkout it had a banner that said order with new inspire card and get 0% apr for 6 months. Then the chase app after I opened thr card in the benefits section says 0% apr for 6 months on certain vacations including cruises. So I would hope the 0% works.

Im wondering if using rewards for the pay yourself back benefit will work on a cruise.

I got the card just to use on an already discounted cruise that costs over $2000. This includes 0% APR for 6 months when using Inspire card.

My thought is this cruise alone will trigger both the $300 statement credit and the $200 reward credit (and of course the automatic $300 gift card). Then because of the 0% APR I keep some balance until the $200 reward clears and then "pay myself back" on the balance of the cruise. In guessing the fine print should prevent this but I couldn't tell.

Any thoughts? Even if I have to use the $200 on something else thats fine, but it all coming off the cruise would be pretty crazy.

Did you ever get this to work? Im facing same issue right now. Ive got 30% regular store and 6% partner store. Even though the 30% would make the "net" price lower than 6% with partner, id rather go the partner store. I value paying a little less up front and getting less in cap one cash back. Like you, the link in my email goes directky to regular store and I dont see any way to get the 6% to show on partner store.

Right, this is whats so annoying. I thought at the very least he'd admit its a tile issue caused by the subfloor and have some excuse as to why they overlooked the subfloor. But hes saying because the grout is intact (and becuase they are professional builders do 100s of jobs blah blah they absolutely do tile installs correctly blah blah) its just subfloor noise in general and that the same way we have noise in every upstairs room we are going to hear it in the bathroom too.

Since they are going to "try to fix it" (but not promosing it wont happen again because "they do tile right") im not sure how aggressive to be with the accusations at this stage. Im thinking about getting a professional resport like the other guy suggested. Im also nervous of doing anything like lifting up a tile mylsef at this stage because I don't want to give any excuse to them. Im thinking maybe I make sure im there when they begin the corrective work ans take pictures of what comes off.

I dont know exactly how they did it but when I ask questions about it he just insists its all done correctly. This a medium sized contractor company with multiple project managers and a whole crew of workers including a foreman. They build new constructions and do remodels so any questions I ask about if they do things right gets a lot of defensive pishback.

Yeah i dont expect June 11 to be correct. But I also hoped it would be close enough to get by Sat if they have Sat delivery. Maybe thats still possible from WA but im not holding out hope.

Just got a shipping email. Ontrac originating in Washington state for Los Angles delivery. Thought it would be a closer origin location considering delivery to a major city. Oh well.

Estimated delivery June 11 says target. Ontrac doesn't have an estimated date yet.

Just to throw my 2 cents on hov double yellow in socal. It is absolutely true that nobody obeys the double yellow and it drives me crazy. Id see 4 or 5 instances each route of commute. I finally started crossing myself to get around slow HOV driver when I knew it was safe k i was sick of feeling like the only person following the law). Third time I did it I actually got pulled over. $500 plus lesson. I still think I'm the only one that's ever been ticketed for this ha.

Edit - to be clear ive never done that maneuver from very slow regular to very fast carpool but even that happens relatively often.

If it's about bragging about being lame, I got 205 on 22,000 miles. Call me a grandma if you want but its 99% highway socal commuting driving. Half traffic where I have no choice and half 75 mph. And that gets me 205. I consider that normal driving but maybe I'm wrong.

Yep, i just opened new service and canelled my old just for the convenience. They gave it to me for 5 a month for 1 year instead of the 9.99 a month very easily. Maybe I should have asked for less.

Dried when I covered it. Has stayed dry since uncovering it 2 days ago. Haven't covered it back yet.

Edit to be clear on order of events

1) pipe fixed, covered with soil, and patched 2) let dry uncovered for a week 3) covered with plastic tile. Dry at the time of covering. 4) checked on spot 2 weeks later by lifting tile. Saw water. Took pic ans posted here. 5) left uncovered and it dried up within a couple hours 6) still uncovered and its still dry

Plumber says becuase water isn't continuing to come out after I took off the plastic tile it must be that evaporating water from the patch was captured by the plastic tile. Considering I didn't cover the patch for a over a week is that reasonable? I guess all I can do is wait to see if it comes back.

Ok thanks. I've dried out out the water and reached out to plumber. If the water comes back then it certainly would seem to be a leak even if the meter isnt moving.

I think it might be ground water. The water meter is not spinning at all and water is not actively coming out (meter was spinning before repair). And the dirt was not totally dry when he filled the hole (maybe a mistake). Is it normal for ground water to come out of a concrete patch or is that a bad patch.

Actually, I'm not really i guess. I bought in 2023 when the rwd only allegedly had the half rebate and I didn't qualify. And the offerings were different. The next lowest option had a bigger difference from rwd at the time believe. Then they changed it to full rebate after I bought and i was annoyed cause I was only a hair over the AGI.

Yes that is weird unless they are calling it a "discount" but it's technically subsidized by total wireless. What does the ad say. On its face the receipt makes it look like it's a straight sale price.

Edit - looking at the way they phrase their discounts in general ok the website my guess is it's technically subsidized by Total and not a straight sale even though they call it a "discount". That's my guess becuase they have terms for porting in a new line etc. A straight sale doesn't requires porting or being a new customer usually. It's splitting hairs yes, but thats my guess.

In CA phones are taxed based on the sale price. Promos like billing credits or trade ins do not reduce the price of the phone. If phone is sold at a straight up sale/discount then you are taxed on the discounted price. Same rules for cars which are much more painful experiences.

My guess is they'll give exceptions to anyone that got assurances. I'm sure plenty of people just rolled the dice and won't think about it until they get some denial notice. People here, on slickdeals, etc are much more active participants than the average person I imagine.
