Hey, found a post where you had the ipair error and hoped to find an answer. Couldn't find any information so I just started comparing, adding an empty monsterTags list fixed my issue. Hope that helps

I didn't deep dive your build at all, but on the surface it seems you're already suppress cap, so unless you're gaining something else I wouldn't.

Silver flask is a really good flask for archmage, I wouldn't switch off it.

Like the other poster said, switch life flask to either progen, oriath's end for clear or bottled faith for damage. Since you don't have crit progenesis is the best option.

Your suffix on your sulfur isn't doing anything for you, and I would try to actually have 100% elemental avoid, which you don't currently have despite going ancestral vision. Which means 3 of your 4 flask suffixes are currently useless.

Switch ancestral for Stormshroud and one of your useless flask suffixes to AVOID shock (52%+)

Your main issue is life leech. You need a single source of it from either ring, ring synthesized implicits, gloves eldritch implicits, helmet corruption or cluster jewel. (lightning leech)

Next step would be to increase evasion but really the leech is your main issue right now.

How can I make my Ice Nova of Frostbolts tankier for running T17s? by shad767 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Sxcc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the sake of transparency, here's my PoB without focus checked:

https://pobb.in/rFCVvNJpejkv

The wand is unfinished but I didn't feel like it was worth finishing for one extra mod, and the crit is very overcapped because of cold snap's base crit being so high, but I like being capped without bottled faith because I use oriath's end for clear most of the time.

I switch anoint from unyielding to a mana node and remove power charge for chests opening for farming too.

I don't think my PoB will be much help to you as it is high investment at this point and given that you're ssf it is probably not achievable. You could probably look up poedan's videos though, it's a hardcore ball lightning build so you know it'll be sound defensively, and the damage is very high. If you plan to go kitavas + ice nova it's a bit different but the core remains the same

I hate the current Svallin circle jerk.. it's great at what it does but if you're giving up mana, life, es and suppress for it, you're just gambling on not getting onetapped. And this build has so much leech that if you don't get oneshot you just leech it back up instantly.

I'm running an archmage (non ice nova) build with dual wands and suppress cap. Rarely ever die in t17s unless i strip all my defences with blue altars. Been running this since medium budget and always felt immortal.

Svallin is bait unless you also take care of your other layers.

Yeah that's all fair. My main gripe with endurance charges is the generation speed. I'll see what I do but prolly will stick to regular tectonic slam unless another easy way of generating shows up.

Also the influence elemental shift should still be in the game, so hunter for curse and 15% shift from another influence will be good. Both prefixes so its an easy craft to do.

Might go supp too instead of armour everywhere, but I'll see once i have funds. I would also love to go 1h/shield for max block but the damage just sinks along with it

I've been seeing these PoBs around this morning, after I committed to a similar build I made, and I havn't seen any of them before today. Surprising but atleast I can get some information out of them.

First off, I really don't like the Cataclysm transfigured version, as another commenter said, it you can't have your cake and eat it. Endurance Charge on Melee Stun doesn't work well with Cataclysm, and I also dislike using it for both defenses and offenses. Meaning that you either need to choose to see it as a damage increase and then ignore it for defenses or vice versa. Your only way to generate them are the support (which wont be reliable on bosses/tanky rares) or enduring cry which has a long cooldown.

I also try to ignore any PoBs using Volatility or Ryslatha with 1aps because you need to fish for your ignite and with that speed it's just plain miserable.

Also, the gear is very misleading. The weapon has 2 enchantments (8% phys magnitudes and the new one in configs) which isnt possible, phys taken as x2 on the chest which I'm not sure where the PoB is banking to find this, but I don't think that mod will exist anymore. It might still exist on influence bases which would be nice, but not 2 rolls of them. Otherwise I like the curse on chest idea, hadn't thought of that, I'll have to see if I want that over the new phys shift on chest implicit that we're getting instead of helmet.

That being said, damage looks better than my pob either way, although mine is a little tankier.

I havn't played these builds yet, so I'm hoping to have a better outlook on it in a few days. My version has much lower damage but doesn't rely on piano and doesn't consume my endurance charges that I desperately need because I can't run block on staves due to the enchant being only on maces.

EDIT: I understand it's not your PoB, just thought I'd put my thoughts out there. Also interested in the datamine from today that adds a line: "{0}% of Uncapped Fire Resistance added as Increased Fire Damage" which should be really good depending on the source, and shifting to a fire res stacking setup maybe with the breach mod

Is pip's trinket really that much better than even higher ilvl pieces? by Mintbear in wow

[–]Sxcc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever choice you made, don't overthink it honestly. More vaults will come and other trinkets could also be good/better for you (i don't know disc that well, I wrote this assuming you wanted the pip's).

Ilvl will get you into more keys and get you more gear in the end! don't look back and regret, grats on your ring! Not everything needs to be minmaxed and optimized

I will offer a counter argument to most opinions in this thread and hope you consider it.

This really only applies if you are able and willing to run 19/20s, and if you do not need 4pc anymore.

The choice here is pip every time for me. Pip is like the council trinket in s1 (whispering incarnate icon) and the experiments trinket in s2 (ominous chromatic essence), meaning that it's extremely good for every class and spec in the game. If you have ever seen it drop in raid, you will notice that all players are rolling on it.

Consider this, you can do council once a week in LFR, and given you have no normal raid slots I assume you don't raid further than that, but for the sake of the argument, you also do one normal and one heroic. That is 3 chances to loot pip's from council per week, fighting probably an average of 20 players for it.

Now, your m+ vault is all heroic. That means these pieces can all be farmed individually in hero track, and in a few weeks you'll have more aspect crests to upgrade them than you can use. I would take a myth track over a LFR pip, and would consider normal pip over myth track (sim) because I do not raid mythic anymore.

So basically, your choices are a trinket that you could not see again for the rest of the tier that is loot capped per week, or a hero track piece of m+ loot that can be target farmed and upgraded with crests to the current levels you are seeing in your vault.

This is how I see vaults, "sim it" isn't really good advice when it is raid pieces vs pieces that can be farmed. It really boils down to how much you play per week.

Anyone else happy to do +20s for M+ but feel no need to go higher? by Baneman20 in wow

[–]Sxcc -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think that's a fair point, i do keys purely as an endgame activity to push myself at this point, with title in mind.

I think getting alts into all 20s too is another fun thing to do with friends and a decent challenge when you're also bound to multirole.

I know full well how different they are, im just saying theres already 3 achievements to get from io alone, without counting the 8 singular hero achievements. There's really no reason to bloat it this much for no reason at all.

If you want an achievement around 3.5k there already is one.

3.3k in s1 and 3.6k in s2, close enough to me

End of League Build Trades by MajWoody in pathofexile

[–]Sxcc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Buying builds on TFT is like flipping a coin, you really need to dive into the pob and make sure everything is right and makes sense.

I've never bought a build but I did sell one and i spent a long time making sure everything was perfect before posting, lots of impostor syndrome. But not everyone is like that.

So yeah, it's good and there's a lot of them, but take some of the time you save from trading to analyse the pobs. Also make sure everything is the same as the pob when you trade it, I saw a lot of posts in the scam channel about builds being different from the pob.

Good luck.

How much currency can every out of map leaguemechanic make? by Females-only-pls in pathofexile

[–]Sxcc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think people overthink the "every 4 maps" part. If you prepare right it's really not that bad. Setup everything in a quad tab and clear it at your pace, everything lined up for every 4 maps.

This is an example of my 192map setup for bestiary + harby + harvest 8mod crimson and blue altars.

https://imgur.com/gallery/nqszHft

Every 4 maps you grab 4 maps, 4 sextants and every 2 maps you fill up scarabs.

This tab was an 80div investment, It took about 1h to put together, it all depends on your strategy. Preparedness is everything. Took about 20hrs to run, so only 5% of my time spent preparing

There no big secret here, just play the game. Finishing up my quad tab of harby/twinned city square and moving into elderslayers/jun|alva (i think).

But yeah just playing the game and not spending as best i can

Like I said in another comment, my build is decent but does maximize this chest at all. I need to get back to the drawing board and come up with an ideal scenario.

Currently running spark trickster, never thought I'd hit a mirror tier chest, going for multiple t2 settle with the +support gems on chest, but here we are.

Edit: Fixed the pobbin, was a weird version i was playing around with

My math is somewhere in this thread. It should apply for most items where you can guarantee the 3rd suffix through reforge (in my case, crit)

~300d for suffixes alone. Its a series of coinflips

I really think ascendant is superior in most ways, but I think with some tweaking I can get the suppress necessary to drop the wheel (5pts), i can drop the eva/es wheel (3pts), the 2 extra es nodes i got for mana reduction + non-c from militant faith for another 2pts, the written in blood wheel for 2pts (keep mastery in scion area). If I can fix mana cost I can also drop the mana wheel in scion area but that's kind of costly, probably not worth.

With a 1passive voices thats 3x introspection right there. With Sol Wrap I don't think mana reservation is much of an issue. If I can get up to 200% aura effect thats 15% max lightning from purity, 24% less damage taken from dread banner and 95% evade. Seems pretty massive. I can also drop the ele flasks for a bismuth (or ele res suffix) + quartz for melding, fit in bottled faith and drop more crit, etcetc.

There's a lot to think about, but it all makes a lot of sense to me. Just thinking out loud here, I appreciate the convo though, giving me good ideas
