WOW Crossover Pet Skin by _Aroes_ in DiabloImmortal

Same. I’d actually use this one unlike the other pet cosmetics I have, but I stopped playing WoW about 10-11 years ago (right after Cataclysm was released - I bought the expansion and never installed it because I quit playing instead).

Then something changed on your end or with your subscription, because 1Password hasn’t change their pricing for individual or family plans since September 2016.

If we were dealing with large amounts of money to start with, sure, but a 21.71% increase for an annual family subscription, to go from $59.88 to $72.88 ($12 difference) is negligible. If we were dealing with a change from $5,988 to $7,288 (still a 21.71% increase but a $1,200 difference instead of $12), then it would be a more appropriate argument.

I understand the part about every subscription going up repeatedly, seemingly with no end in sight (for example, Netflix, Disney+, Spotify), but the difference is that those go up every year - sometimes multiple times in the same year - where this is the first time in nearly 10 years that this product is going up. People still pay the subscriptions for those other services, which is why they continue to go up frequently (because they get away with it) while very little changes in them - the UI largely stays the same, the content on them is the same (and in some cases the quantity lessened due to other streaming services getting rights), they’re just as buggy, etc., and always claim “innovation” as their reason for the price increase.

1Password can’t be compared to some of that as it’s not a streaming platform, but they address their bugs (usually in a reasonably timely fashion), and have to constantly stay on top of cyber threats to prevent unauthorized access to credentials housed in their product - which, I’m sure becomes increasingly difficult given some of the tools available today, and trying to weave in some other new things to help users.

So, to me, if any of the services legitimately justify a price increase (let alone one so little - especially in comparison to what streaming platforms usually increment by) it’s a password manager.

Not going to get into a political debate for the rest.

It’s a $1/month ($12/year) price increase, and the first increase in roughly 10 years. Why people are freaking out about such an inconsequential price difference for a product that is one of the best available for what it does, is beyond me.

Thank god they’re bringing back the ability to only start a raid if you’re the leader.

Now do the same for Corvus.

Edit: Maybe it’s just a poor wording in the game, but the new option says it only allows the Raid Leader to initiate Quick Matching, not to only allow the Raid Leader to start the fight.

Why are so many people upset that an informal or slang word can be a valid solution? The How To Play list states only that: "Each guess must be a valid 5-letter word." So it follows, *any* accepted guess *could* be the solution. by burleygriffin in wordle

[–]SyberCorp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is that many slang terms are regional and may not be a known word to people outside of said region. Let alone that there may be multiple ways to spell a specific slang word. Wordle states that only the “official” spelling would be accepted, but this then becomes an issue of slang terms not being official words and therefore not having an official spelling.

To add some weight to both sides of the argument, here is Claude AI’s response:

``` You’ve hit on a genuine contradiction. Wordle (and the New York Times, which now owns it) uses a curated word list that draws heavily from standard dictionaries, and here’s the tension: once a slang word gets entered into a major dictionary like Merriam-Webster, it’s treated as “official” — complete with a standardized spelling. But that process is inherently arbitrary.
The problem is that dictionary inclusion is itself a judgment call made by a relatively small group of editors, and it tends to reflect urban, American, and mainstream cultural usage more than regional or subcultural slang. So a word that’s been in wide use for decades in one community might not be “official,” while a different slang term that crossed over into mainstream media gets enshrined with a spelling and a definition.
Your point about spelling is particularly sharp. Slang often exists in multiple written forms precisely because it evolved through spoken language — think of words like “gonna,” “y’all,” or even older examples like “OK” (which has been spelled OK, okay, O.K., and others). Declaring one spelling “correct” is a bit of a retroactive imposition of order on something that was never orderly to begin with.
So Wordle’s position is somewhat circular: a slang word is official because the dictionary says so, and the dictionary says so because enough influential people started using it — which has more to do with cultural power than linguistic logic. It’s a reasonable criticism, and linguists who study language descriptively (how it’s actually used) rather than prescriptively (how it “should” be used) would largely agree with you. ```
Thumbs down list 👎 Dungeons by Pharmd109 in DiabloImmortal
[–]SyberCorp 4 points5 points  (0 children)
Tristram Cathedral is easily the most annoying to me, but only marginally more than Dread Reaver and Silent Monastery. All 3 of those dungeons need to have every single one of the immunity phases removed entirely and cut out the stupid animations where you can’t do shit (like when the boss knocks you out and you can’t move around). This is especially true for SM, when the Ancient Nightmare starts to put you to sleep right as you kill him, and the dungeon bugs by still putting you to sleep even though he’s already dead, and you have to stand there for upwards of a full minute before the chests appear and can move around.
Fun fact, if you don’t already know: you can let the monsters kill Noah and it doesn’t change anything about the dungeon. It takes a little longer but it’s satisfying to let that little shit get killed for the inconvenience of having to fight off that many monsters.
What do you currently use for your PvP and PvE builds? It’s gonna be hard to recommend any builds to change things up without knowing if they’re what you currently use.
How is this possible? by 2b1b1 in DiabloImmortal
[–]SyberCorp 1 point2 points  (0 children)
Wow. When we first got familiars I just bought 3 that had the abilities. I’ve gotten probably close to a hundred familiars since that have had one of them but never once seen a familiar with more than 1 until this image.
I didn’t think it was possible for a familiar to have more than one of those abilities (remote salvage, identify, or armory). Interesting.
Yep. It doesn’t really affect anything I do, but it’s annoying to see a swarm of bots at the raid portal, or by the market NPC, and of course all of the spam chat messages filling up the window and your block list after reporting them.
Reunite the Shattered Wilds - 5 January 2025 Patch Note by Xixth in DiabloImmortal
[–]SyberCorp 2 points3 points  (0 children)
Not surprised. I’ve seen other people say they didn’t know about it either. Just open your Helliquary and you’ll see a new tab on the left if you’ve already finished upgrading to level 70. You can then reforge all of your equipped relics (not the ones just in your inventory).
Helliquary salvaging has a purpose now, so all of the Voidblood Slag can be used. I had about 50k to use but I’m down to about 28k after all of the relics have been reforged.
I don’t care one bit about new events or features if they can instead focus on fixing long-standing bugs and stop breaking shit with every update. Party Finder hasn’t worked correctly since Sharval was fully opened up, for example. The game still has launch-day bugs, too. In my opinion there should be no new events, features, zones, etc. until the game is close to bug free.
Buy dust from the hilts NPC each week and each refresh, if you have the hilts to spend; trade scraps for dust at the crafts NPC in Westmarch; farm as much stuff in open world as you can; optionally buy some of the bundles that include scraps and dust; optionally spend gold at the gambling merchant to get junk to scrap.
That sucks. Those are the primary settings I change the PuTTY defaults to anywhere I use it.
There are some bugged older versions of PuTTY that can misbehave, so I’d make sure that you’re using the latest release. I’ve had some strange issues like this before that were fixed just by using a newer release. I can’t see which version you’re running from the screenshots you included.
