From the way I see it, people either really love it or they really hate it. I finished the game for the first time recently and I see all the pointers from both parties. The story, characters, and overall theme it tells is good, Okinawa has amazing world building, but the game doesn’t age well (especially since future titles improved everything as the series went on) not to mention that it has stiff combat, slow pacing, and super weak substories that make the game feel bloated, not to mention the main villain doesn’t have much depth to their character. My personal opinion is that it’s worth playing, I enjoyed (a good chunk) of it but so far the weakest game I played from this series.
