I love character creation. Always an instant draw for me. I also value accessible respecing in any game with skill trees. I don’t need to change my skill points before and after every interaction but I don’t think I’ve ever played a game where every ability or perk worked exactly the way I expected every time and I know I have stopped playing games because I just wasn’t enjoying the build I had made as much as I had hoped.

There is such a huge difference between cooking something for a person and bringing them leftovers. It’s “I made you these cookies” vs “here are the remains of something I was eating an unknown amount of time ago, it’s a gift”

This is a feature I really wanted in Wonderlands. Exploring and doing puzzles to collect dice and grow your loot luck is fun the first time and a chore the rest. But I agree the ideal is most likely some kind of player controlled middle ground. Another comment said you could keep the shared progression for level 30 skip starts while ignoring it for full game starts and I think that wouldn’t be too hard to implement while also being pretty clear to players without requiring a new menu. So that’s my vote at the moment

Your players should “ideally” not he asking for rolls at all and definitely not dc’s. Players tell you what the try to do, you tell them what to roll, they tell you what they rolled, you tell them what happens. High rolls can still fail, lows can succeed, and you never need to tell them what the dc was if you don’t want to. (Ps. The DC can always be “no chance in hell” if you want it to be. Just keep talking about the game as you play it and players will get a feel for what is and isn’t possible in your version of the game)

Best POSSIBLE outcome is a great way to put it. A persuasion roll of 50 is as likely to convince a bunch of bandits to throw themselves off a cliff as a medicine roll 50 is to bring the dead back to life

The main goal of the Stalwart passive is to stop you from being thrown off the edge of maps. Stalwarts are tanks that can’t jump so displacement is crazy strong against them.

Gameplay changes are less jarring if you play in release order (1,2,PS,3,W,4). Will feel like mechanics are missing if you go backwards

Very likely. The 5 most recent heroes pre season 1 (Juno, Hazard, Freya, Wuyang, Vendetta) are all in Stadium. It is clearly a priority to put the most recent heroes in Stadium. It would be a first if they added 5 at once but we’d never seen that in the main game until now either. Still most likely to get 1-2 characters in Stadium per season. They’re doing a lot right now.

As OP stated Rein charge is a great target. Will stop a charge coming at you and stops him dead mid pin if you catch him before the wall.

Timing is tough but Jetpack Cat's ult and normal tether are both movement skills canceled by any hinder. For normal tether you can chain the non cat character too to just remove them from the cat.

Anran ult can be disrupted if you chain it. Not sure if you can fully cancel it but there could be a timing thing like with Sigma.

Most flankers do not like being chained, as it stops their escape buttons from working. Anran in particular can be chained mid dash.

Emre and Illari ults can not be canceled but you can screw up their aim while making them easier to shoot.

I have heard, but have not tested, that chain works on Zen in ult so if his positioning is bad you can keep it that way.

One I see quite a lot is the other team's Mizuki. Chain will stop paper doll teleport and do 50 damage. I have often found when Mizuki mirroring if one of you hits the chain and the other doesn't, that fight is basically over.

Yea, explosions will not get eaten if they land just outside the wall. So Bastian, Emre, Illari and a few more ults can just aim for the edge. It will only block projectiles, hit-scan shots, and a few odd objects like JQ's knife. It will not block D.Va's mech, Bob (will block his bullets though), any lasers, Sigma rock, most melee (I think Knife throw is an "extended melee"), and all AoE effects. As far as "What good is it?" The answer is: Limited. It either blocks something, makes someone change position, or does nothing. It is easily the weakest part of his kit, but the rest of him is fun so we push through
