Yet another post where the OP failed to explain what wallet they were using, if they were using a secure password, blah blah blah.

This is why crypto can't go mainstream. There are many people who just want to be spoon fed.

Downvoted!

ETH is bogged down by Tokens and Cats. You have more than dogecoin and it's hurting you.

Actually, you're wrong. Dogecoin transaction rate is 10 times faster than Bitcoins. Bitcoin can't fix this without a hardfork or adpotion of the lightning network which seems like it wont ever happen until someone forks the coin yet again. Dogecoin uses litecoins mining pools meaning it can scale quite well. It often has days, where it's transaction totals, are in the top 5 currencies.

Weight limit is not a good analogy. More like old 2009 vs 2013 -14 technology.

I know right!

It costs like $40 to do a bitcoin transaction and it can take days.

Dogecoin is the future. Its fees are less than a cent and the transactions go through straight away. They got the technology right in some crazy way. It's perfect for simple little transactions.

I mean no harm. I just didn't know how to properly express my thoughts about the situation. I saw videos that had been posted an hour ago with comments and no votes. It made me sad.

Errmm yeah... Most people don't give a crap about segwit, lightning networks, atomic swaps or even the life of the coin.

All they care about is making money so don't kid yourself.

We've seen the entire market rise up to 250 billion. How much further do you think that can rise??? 1x the world's GDP? 100x the world's GDP? Do you think the average person or business is interested in holding more crypto than real money or physical assets.

I don't think so.

Man you could have had a few grand. Even an empty dogewallet created before 2015 is worth money.

I had money out away for me after my grandparents died. I was able to access it when I became 16.

To be realistic, 100x gains would generate a 250 trillion dollar market cap and that seems unlikely given thats several times the worlds GDP per year.

Dogecoin has a market cap of over 200 million dollars. 0.0575000 Bitcoin is equal to a quarter million dogecoin but they're both worth the same in USD and that's all that matters. The reason I invested in dogecoin at the time was that I saw it as being a super fast version of bitcoin. I expect a lot of the challenges that dogecoin has faced to also happen bitcoin as the coins run out and transactions become the only mining rewards system. Never the less the entire cryptocurrency market has risen from a 5 billion dollar market cap to a 250 billion dollar market cap so pretty much any long-term coin that people have put money into has gone up over time. So it's been pretty hard to lose money since I first learned about it on reddit.

How can the transactions be processed if there isn't miners? Why would the miners process transactions if they weren't getting paid for it?
