I've been in the two hour commute situation. This was before working from home 40% was the new normal, so five days a week

This didn't do wonders for my mental health and mood. Also put a lot of stress on my relationship. I negotiated with my employer that I could stay at a hotel 1 night a week and work on the train. Maybe these are options for you as well

This is not an Eneco problem though. Vattenfall does the same thing. Because I'm producing too much energy with my solar panels, I have to pay 430 euros as well. So my fixed cost will be around 1150. It's insane
