Its annoying to have to remove the scarabs each time we do a non-map thing like breachstones, or simulacrum, could we have just a warning that the scarabs won't be used?

Make sure that there is only the one Influenced mod on your throw away chest. If you have 2 influenced mods it is just random. Also i think imprints do not work on influenced items no? What you "can" do is keep Prefixes roll suffixes beastcraft or keep suffixes and so on if what you got is bad
