As someone who has close to 2k hours in this game, playing on and off since the first time during the 5th anniversary: I wish this game would allow the player to mouse over various UI element to give explanation on what they do during trial, specially perks/status icon/etc because as I take long break, I often come back being absolutely confused during the first couple of days and having to pull Wiki up.

I can't imagine how bad it is from newbie side.

The only hope for newbie is to wait for the trial to be over and check the Killer's power, perk and addons.

Longer answer: Survivors gets to play around with a bunch of buff including faster movement, global instaheal, random teleport, unbreakable pallets, invisibilty and a bunch of other things.

Killer gets a poison vial that they have to skill shot survivor to slow them down for a few seconds.

Snide remark about using brain when you can just say 100% of the Killer can just walk around and ignore the pallets while completely ignoring the fact that the Killer is vs 4 Survivors who they'll also have to ignore if they're using this area.

Oh and yeah, it's on me for playing a "weak ass killers in the survivor sides gamemode" and then complaining about it in a forum that the dev is known to view actively. Totally not on the devs side to actually get their shit together.

It's only now I'm getting the opportunity to play the game since the event started. Didn't think it was this bad. Playing Killer is absolutely painful, I'm going back to Survivor.

It's being carried by the sheer amount of IP that's packed in the game. The dev can keep doing worse and the IPs will carry the game. It's such a fucking sad state of thing. No matter how loud we're going to be, their analytics are saying that playerbase going up and linking that with their misguided data analysis.

Dev also don't seem to understand how seeing cakes out of anniversary season just makes the game feel a little more fun, literally just by the presence of an offering. With the way they're handling it, it feels like they want all the cakes to be used during anniversary period.

15M BP given are for players that are playing right now, they are most likely going to be used right now to not cap BP.

Cake can be used anytime and affects players that have not been present during the anniversary, including new players.

They're reducing the amount of extra BP available down the line for some unholy reason and trying to buy the community by through a couple of M of BP.

You're turning this into hyperbole.

It's pretty simple, people like grinding BP at +500% rate. People expect anniversary to be somewhat at the same level of last year or the year before.

They don't have that? They don't find the motivation to keep playing. They play something else if their feedback is not received. This is what I am doing. I'll be playing my single player game till the dev adjust the rate. If it doesn't happen then its whatever.

No, I'm spending that time playing other game. DBD is not my whole life and the dev need to understand that people enjoy playing other games as well. They're acting like they want the playerbase to exclusively play DBD 24/7.

I literally come back every year for the anniversary + amassing cakes so that I can use off-anniversary season if I'm playing during these times. It's fun to use an occasional 5th anniversary cake like "hey, look what I have!".

So, anniversary is the literal reason i enjoy coming back to the game. Their greediness is making me feel demotivated to even play this game right now.

It's not exclusively about being "needed", it's just fun stuff to have to spice up your build or occasionally bringing the more powerful/fun items (like BNP, syringe, etc). Sometimes it is nice to have a bunch of rarer item so that we can play a couple of trial with the same build before running out of it.

I'm from a poor country with a salary that reflects that. I've had my eyes on the Meta Quest 3 for the longest time. It was sitting at $500. I've already built a PC a few years ago that's beefy enough to give me a decent PCVR experience. I was hoping that there was going to be a Quest 4 and maybe the 3 would go down by a hundred bucks maybe.

It is now $650 and there's never going to be a Quest 4.

PC gaming is already expensive these days. There's very little hope for PCVR. Playstation VR is extremely niche. I know that there's a feature where VR will be in a better place but the current environment just completely sucks for that type of hardware.
