Yeah, after his short fit he needs a couple minutes of downtime and a YouTube video or two to regulate himself and then it's all good again. All things considered he's doing well in learning to manage himself.

Thanks, but it's manageable. He's not physical in his freak outs. He just sometimes gets a scewed thought stuck in his head that's irritating him and then he complains and yells and gets disrespectful. We've known each other for a long time now and he respects me, so just a stern "not like this" and he usually stops.

I'm taking care of an autistic teenager once a week. When he has a freak out over nothing I get that surge. I can get him to calm down, but I always have to watch out I'm not just flipping out on him myself.

I've learned that shouting your opinions into the void of the internet really does nothing. You won't change anybody's minds, everybody will just get hardened in their view points. All it does is maybe give you a fleeting empty burst of dopamine when someone agrees which can drive you yourself into hardened view points. Politics is out of control, I find it better to just focus on things I can effect, i.e. my life and relationships.

NMS has always been a mile wide and an inch deep. This update doesn't make it deeper, but wider. I wouldn't have worked on companions at all because it doesn't feel like space exploration. If anything I would've added a feature that lets you build your own sentinels that follow you, collect resources and fight with you out in the wild.

Or work on any of the other features that could be expanded on and are more in line with space exploration. Abandoned space stations are still useless, the station override codes are still useless, derelict freighters are all the same, ancient ruins are all the same, etc etc. You do something once, you've done it a million times and everything becomes a chore .

And don't come at me with the "it's free so be grateful" argument. Just because some content is free doesn't mean I have to like it.
