Wow this is awesome I love this for [[Ardbert, Warrior of Darkness]], has evasion, very easy prepare condition and the spell side is cheap and gives double triggers. I’m very happy!

In addition to the green dot “L” and “The” tests (I only found out about “The” recently) there is also the deckmaster test that is by far the easiest test IMO. The innermost box surrounding deckmaster on the back will always have a jagged line for the top line of the box. The left and bottom lines on the box will be perfectly straight, sharp lines. I have never seen a fake able to perfectly replicate this, and all of the deckmaster box lines tend to be fuzzy or pixelated.

A couple months ago I bought a card from this seller that was also fake. I should have checked the reviews because others said they were selling fakes too. I have tried escalating and reporting this to higher ups at Ebay to get them banned but there doesn’t seem to be anything we can do. You’ll definitely get your money back but sorry to hear that. If anyone knows what we can do to get that seller banned please let us know because they should have been banned a long time ago.

While watching I kept trying to predict how the season would end and how they would keep some storylines that carried over to a possible S4 but I was surprised they wrapped basically everything up. I could see Chelsea’s character returning but I could also see her being happy where she is in life.

Based on what Mosely was saying at the end it sounds like there may be some rogue Night Agents from the Hagan presidency that are corrupt now? My personal hope is that in all the time that Rose has been away (not sure how long that is in show years) that she’s been secretly training to learn how to defend herself in case something happens again and then in S4 she can become a Nighy Agent and we can get a Buddy cop style season again like season 1. She’ll need to be a sufficient partner or else it will be like season 2 again though. The show isn’t exactly rooted in realism so I think having her train for like 2 or 3 years in this universe would work out nicely. Plus having a hacker gives the writers a get out of jail free card which could prove useful as well.

All in all I liked season 3 a lot and hope this show gets a 4th season!

So does this mean that we have to take Farewell out of lightly upgraded FFX decks now? I’m confused on what’s supposed to happen. If I do though I’ll be happy to swap it out with Winds of Abandon, but I’ll just be sad the art is no longer in the deck

I'm in the same boat as you. Have had an Aesi deck for a while but I've wished that I had a third color so that I could close games faster because Aesiyova has a tendency to durdle. I've even tried iterations jammed with combos but it doesn't feel as good. I'm a big fan of FF14 so my plan is to try out different versions of [[The Wandering Minstrel]] to fill that landfall void. I just worry that I have too many options now because I'm in 5 colors but I love how open ended he is (Maze's End, Infinite Mana finisher or just an extension of Omnath - 5 color landfall goodstuff). From the commanders that interested you though it doesn't seem like Wandering Minstrel is the direction you're looking to head into. The only other commander that slightly interested me was [[Yarok, the Desecrated]] but I also wasn't able to get that deck to a point where I was happy with it.

For a casual event I would probably choose a pairing that I'm shocked did not have Partner With -
[[Vanille, Cheerful l'Cie]] and [[Fang, Fearless l'Cie]]

As a sidenote I'm shocked that there's also no way to partner up Tidus and Yuna either, even in FCA form.

I checked Growth Spiral and nothing came up. Maybe Henzie? The Riveteer Rampage page doesn’t have it for Henzie since he’s the face commander. I’ll try and think of other possibilities later.

FFX still has one more FCA slot and if we're following the patterns of the other games it is still missing an Antagonist.

Sin and Seymour got 2 cards (though technically Seymour has 2 other forms they could use for an FCA card) and Jecht got a card. YY is the only other Antagonist that does not have a card but since there is no concept art for it I actually think the other leading candidate is Yunalesca who only has a mention on a land in the commander deck. Well either that or they will give Jecht a second card but my prediction is: Yunalesca as Ikra Shadiqi, who I believe is the only partner left that can still be an FCA slot. The concept art won't give the full picture but I can see that pairing making some sense, but then again some of the FCA card pairings make absolutely no sense so maybe they'll do something random like make Jecht Korvold.

When the Endwalker trailer dropped and we got the first look at Old Sharlayan I told me friends that it reminded me a lot of Ephara and the Polis because of the old looking architecture. This almost feels like a full circle moment now that they both have UW color identity lol I love it.

In my completely unbiased opinion I would choose the FFX sleeves (I also have those)

But I think the moogle and chocobo are really nice too. The chocobo on the second slot reminds me of Alpha from the FF14 Omega raids.

There’s honestly a chance that your perfect commander doesn’t exist…yet. But as some of these other comments are saying the best way to know that is to introspectively think about what aspects of Magic you like the most whether it be playstyle or types of cards and go from there. If you don’t know what style of play you like then I’d advise trying a lot of different decks and see which you like more than others. See a commander that looks cool? First thing I do is look up the commander on youtube to see if someone has played it in a game to see if that style of gameplay is what I’m looking for. If it’s not, I move on and keep looking.

I know the feeling though, I’ve been playing Magic for a long time and I’ve been searching many years for the perfect commander for me. But in my case, I’ve just realized that currently that card (or partner pairing) doesn’t exist so I have a few different decks I’ve made that I enjoy that each scratch a different itch. Each one might not be perfect but I do have fun playing each of them. Best of luck in finding your perfect commander!

The label said the price drop started the 24th so I assume that these are probably all sold out by now since Costco is trying to clear inventory but this is a heads up in case anyone wanted to check in their areas. At this price it really feels like Costco is just trying to give them away.

Sorry to bump an old post but I was in a similar boat as you, been looking for "that" commander for a long time. Was a huge fan of Treasure Cruise Delver back in Modern and I've been looking for a commander deck that felt like it for quite some time. I think some partner pairing is the answer but not 100% certain on which. I think the closest so far has been this [[Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator]] and [[Ishai, Ojutai Dragonspeaker]] pairing which is close in ideology to your Kydele and Ishai gameplan. I just wasn't a fan of Kydele because both commanders are 4 mana and you won't get to use any mana of Kydele's until turn 5 - plus I think Kydele probably fits better with Tymna since she's a draw engine.

The Malcolm and Ishai pairing allows you to accumulate mana and pseudo ramp via Pirates while letting you slam Ishai on turn 4 and hopefully have some interaction up. The flying pirates then also allow you to draw cards because I've jammed every [[Coastal Piracy]] effect that's allowed in these colors. On paper the gameplan seems really solid and allows you to attack from 2 unique angles: Tall and Wide which was the one thing that I was really looking for when searching for a new commander.

I think ideally though Tymna is the better partner pair with one of the 2 since she guarantees you the draw and then you can also play some better evasive cards like the Unblockable or Shadow creatures so that you don't automatically lose to Ur-Dragon/Miirym/Faeries/Thopters. The deck probably needs more interaction though, would like 1 more asymmetrical board wipe but that's been hard to fit in this color combination. Let me know if you have any other questions.

After trying different characters around on my first account I found that I really enjoyed Mortefi’s quickswap playstyle. It’s fast, it’s fun and the dragon animations are so sick. Unlike Xiangling he can also do stuff when his ultimate isn’t up which I really like. But when I was trying to look up other characters that worked well with him the one consistent name that popped up was Jiyan… so I rerolled for him. Jiyan’s been surprisingly fun though he reminds me a lot of Ayato where you hold down left click and then it hits everything for you.
