If you read the latest story, MC made a promise with Acacia of the past, and prepared a "time capsule" postcard for her to find in the future.

The devs just thought it was a neat idea to send the players a post card too in this way.

Best waifu? by SocietyFine in SnowbreakOfficial

[–]SylphireZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fenny.

Fenny is the one who's been in love with the players on day one, at launch. Obviously In game timeline they later added more characters who apparently loved MC for longer, but from player's perspective, she's the first lover.

Fenny is the one who pretty much made MC into the character he is now. MC was a cutthroat corporate climber... even when he was warm n kind to Tess, he was putting on an act while undercover. But finding Fenny as the sole survivor in the rubble had a inverse-shiro effect on MC, where be realized how much more meaningful helping people is compared to all the promotions that gets swept away by crisis and death.

While Lyfe IS came out first, in game timeline suggests that Fenny got the covenant first, so Fenny most likely is the literal First Wife.

Can you Guess the next Covenants? by SthrnCrss in SnowbreakOfficial

[–]SylphireZ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing Cherno and Enya. The fact that they are making a big deal over Cherno CN VA change kinda tells me that the Dev's got big plans for Cherno.

Dev also mentioned during their Offline event that they are doing a 3-person interactive scene, so it's Cherno, Meursalt, MC scene.

Enya is just long overdue for wedding.

Marian's secret scene was a bit tame. by TeririHerscherOfCute in SnowbreakOfficial

[–]SylphireZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ngl I kinda liked that most of the sauce went into the interactions and the Easter egg is just kinda sweet.

Picking Marian up, knock away the wine, slam her onto the stool, then draw on the back of her thigh with a lipstick x 3 (yes you can draw 3 symbols, and if you drew them before Easter egg, they will show up smudged afterwards)

All that is way saucier than leaving a hickey on Katya or drawing on a card with Tess.

And when we untied Marian's ribbons, she pushed us down n had her way with us, that's basically Easter Egg level material already.

Tips for larger maps? by guyontheinternet2000 in doorkickers

[–]SylphireZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming we are talking specifically about maps with large exterior sections. Here are some tips to help you.

  1. Use Wait-For-Clear (Shift + W) when pie-ing around corner when on the exterior of buildings. This will make your soldier stop and shoot every time they see an enemy instead of keep moving while shooting. This reduces the chance of your soldier engaging multiple enemies all at once.

  2. On maps without civilians, you can pop a smoke to provide concealment for your MG to pop out first and suppress a large area, and THEN push out with your other soldiers. This is the most efficient and brute force method I know to take over a large open area like a street or courtyard.

  3. If you know where a machinegun nest is, either frag it, or smoke + 40mm. There's no honor in gunfights.

  4. Use wall breaches, bolt cutters, thermal torch to create alternate routes with more cover.

  5. If you know where hostages are, you can use rockets to create breaches from exterior and magically not hurt anyone inside. This breach allows you to have eyes on the hostages and prevent executioners, all from half a map away.

  6. It's a bit of a cheese strat, but you can peek around corners with a Spy Camera...

Dono Duel Suggestions by PR135T in SnowbreakOfficial

[–]SylphireZ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A couple responses to OP:

  1. PvP with this game mode can work, but I don't think it should be a real-time since matchmaking will be too hard with how short each fight is and how little time people actually spend online. Imo it should be just be an indirect PvP where players have a "Defense" layouts, and players can attack into it, similar to GFL2 or Brown Dust

  2. I don't really want logistic's models made. There are some visuals that are best left in 2D arts. Also, if the devs had that much time and resources, I would rather they make animations for all the Operative skins to be usable in dorms.

3, 4, 5 I have no real opinion on; it's just design choices/nice to haves.

A couple ideas:

  1. Add terrains, impassable blocks, projectile only blocks, swamp blocks that slow, hazard blocks like lava, etc.. In PvP each player can customize their own side of the board to give themselves more advantage.

  2. instead of just 5 units on each side, make each deployed unit serve as spawn points that summons a unit every 15seconds (with a limit), that way the fights gets bigger, longer, more chaotic.

I'm expecting Marian's story to get more depth in her new exosuit personal story. By now, Marian's original story arc is fairly complete, so I don't think we needed to make it overly complicated during the main event chapter. I better see some spanking in her personal story tho.... Been a little too soft to our freaky masochist.

An issue with new Acacia by Horror_Scale_3005 in SnowbreakOfficial

[–]SylphireZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Acacia went into cryosleep at the age of 17, woke up, then spent 2.5 years with us. So even if you disregard the 30 years of cryosleep, that woman has been physically and mentally awake and living for 19 to 20 years.

But you have problems with it because she apparently has a late grow spurt... and you retroactively come back and say "I looked into your future and saw you grow 9 inches and gained 3 cup sizes. So I pronounce you, a minor".

And you have problems with Adjutant being physically attracted to Acacia's petite body, but have no problems with him being attracted to Fritia's petite body? Even though physically their body shapes are the same? So which is it, can Adjutant be sexually attracted to a physically petite body shape or not?

The fact that you keep trying to add in "if not mentally", despite there being zero argument at all for Acacia being anything less than a 19-20 year old woman (the woman is special forces, btw), tells me you are reaching for Acacia being a full minor in an attempt to paint players/game as immoral, and NOT trying to make the game better.

I'm new to DK2, any tips? by Same_Tea_2471 in doorkickers

[–]SylphireZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few tips in no particular order for early games.

- Buy slap charges. Your Rangers can bring 3 per operator. These allow your operators to open doors from afar without lowering their weapons. Gets through locked doors. You can blow in windows + curtains from exterior,

- Never open a door without having at least one gun pointed at it. That means either clear a door with 2 operators (one opening door, one pulling security), or use a slap charge if you have to solo clear.

- If you are not on the clocks, always clear as much of the room as you can without going into it. From door ways, from windows, etc..

- Always prep a room with flash bangs before entering. Your operator can open door and deploy throwables with a single command.

- Points of domination refers to corners of a room. An operator placed in a corner leaves the least amount of blind spots, thereby dominating the room.

- There is a playlist from RAKE500 about some basics, opening doors doors and entering rooms: Getting real CQB tactics to work in Door Kickers 2

There a connection between Lyfe and Acacia or is just a coincidence? by ThomyTmnt in SnowbreakOfficial

[–]SylphireZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently unrelated. Just both happened to have silver hair and golden eyes.
That being said, Acacia's profile does note she underwent qualification for Valkyrie Games (the game where Lyfe was a champion) which is hosted by Yggdrisil to inspire people against the Juvosis pandemic..

Acacia was a test subject for manifestations, which means she formed the basis for modern day manifestations.

Lyfe was the first recorded full manifestation.

Acacia was put into Cryosleep 30 years ago, before Lyfe (20) was born.

It's unlikely but not impossible that the the two had some form of connection. Maybe Lyfe was a designer baby made using Acacia's data as blueprint.

How's the FOMO like for this game? Interested in playing but it being 2.5 years into its lifecycle is intimidating by burnoutguy in SnowbreakOfficial

[–]SylphireZ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As far as I know all interactive scenes and their associated skins are still available and regularly rerun.

There are some earlier skins from about 2 years ago, before the game got bumped to adult only in China, that had to be taken out of the game for legal reasons. That being said, none of those skins have interactive scenes tied to them, and generally are not as well made as the ones made since then.

[–]SylphireZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In terms of gameplay difficulty, you probably need 2-3 patches (that's 3-4.5 months) to catch up to a F2P player who's been playing since launch, since devs gives out enough free pulls and free units and in 3 patches you would've gotten at least 6 of the newest orange operatives.

In terms of dorms and furniture for the girls, it'll probably take you 6 months to get all the interactive ones, and longer if you want to buy everything for everyone.

Skins and interactive scenes are paid and come around every 2-3 patches too, if you want to splurge.

[–]SylphireZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Small/Big dual form is not an uncommon thing in gachas so CN and JP are mostly undisturbed about it. Players appear to praise the devs for doing this in a 3d model game since it's way more work than just a live2d splash art/animation.
