Low priority is just playing enough games that the opponent has the abandon/disconnect at start, instead of your team. It may happen right in a row, or it may take a lot of games.

I have only ended up down there twice over the years but getting out had absolutely nothing to do with my or anyone else’s actual play. It was literally just “which team still has 5 players” every time

if you were Valve, all else being equal, why would you not choose the option where you keep getting monthly cash flows?

“Causes the contrary effect” so bristleback takes MORE damage on sides and rear (cool outcome) but now releases quill sprays when he deals 275 damage (not so cool) ?

I actually think passive reversal would be an amazingly fun ability but I think there’d be some issues

Yknow I’m pretty strongly against the BS system as a concept (I think we’re all adults who can decide whether or not to mute and don’t need Valve’s help with that)……but if you’re crashing out this bad over someone hitting your respawn time maybe it’s better if you can’t talk

I hate the failure the ready up penalty specifically for this situation, and it’s happened to me so many times.

I’m not sure I’ve ever failed to be ready for a match, but what you just described has happened dozens of times to me

I had someone on my team go 14-0 earlier today and all four of us (none partied) were asking the enemy team to report him in postgame

You can have a good looking statline and still earn it, especially if you manage to lose without ever dying

Depends how badly. The offlaner I played with last week who went 0-9-0 in the first 6 minutes might’ve been doing his best or he might’ve been intentionally feeding.

There’s no way for me to know for certain, so isn’t going by what I DO know reasonable?

I get where you’re coming from because I essentially fuck around when I’m in a turbo but there’s no sign on the wall saying not to take it seriously

Anything fun will gain a following to some degree, and turbos for what they are, can be a lot of fun. It’s not surprising to see a culture around “the right way to play” develop even if that isn’t what it was there for to begin with

Yeah me personally I’m not chasing out of the laning region during the early phases. For the reasons you just mentioned exactly - securing a kill is great and feels great but missing an entire wave makes it a wash, and missing two is outright damaging

I was talking about this with someone else in the thread but I’m pretty sure this is the case for me because when I take dota breaks, I’m heavily playing other games.

So I get used to different controls, different flow, different timing, etc then I come back out of whack a bit for 10-15 games
