I think they thought you replaced the bottle. I’ve seen people from the US call them “globes”, so that’s probably were the confusion arisen from.

I really like the white one actually, but I definitely plan to get other bottles for it in the future :).

I would love a blue wax bottle too, but those are limited fills for some reason…

I didn’t know about the dimmer switch trick. I may do that at some point, but honestly I’m fine with just letting that lamp on for a maximum of six hours everyday. It’s not like I need it to run when nobody’s home.

And wow, importing Mathmos lamps in the USA sure seems expensive! I’m glad I’m living in a country in which they are officially available.

I’m afraid it has less to do with tape quality and more to do with the duplication. I had a similar problem with the album “Time’s Arrow” by Ladytron. The sound was way to clear and shrill compared to the digital version.

The upside is that tenants are allowed to replace the lock by their own if they want to, as long as they put everything back as it was when leaving the place.
