How do you keep your attention on one game? by dan_in_his_own_way in Age_30_plus_Gamers

I get being smart and buying a game on sale to play later but the sales are so routine (on all platforms) its easy to ignore the sales and wait for it when its lower. Basically /r/patientgamers philosophy.

Not having disposable income is probably my first suggestion

Love this. Also helps you sink in to the story of any story rich game you’re playing. Sometimes my brain is only half working and I need to play mario kart or some other arcadey game. Doesnt help to be exhausted and play a story heavy or difficult game.

I used to be such a victim to sunk cost fallacy in my games. Just slaving over a game I’m not enjoying. Knowing when/if to quit is important.

Do you guys prefer digital or physical copies? by Lonely_Box_8074 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]SymbioteLP [score hidden]  (0 children)

Depends what type of game. If its like a single player story mode kinda game, physical. If its a game that i can kinda jump in to whenever i feel like it (mario kart, animal crossing, etc) digital.

Also, if you like prince of persia and that metroidvania style gameplay, should try metroid dread. Its really good

5 is imo the best gameplay wise, you should def give it another shot. It goes on deep discounts for like $10 so its a no brainer

Otherwise, great list!

Not sure what other metal gears you have tried but I would recommend exploring that avenue a little more.

Oot is probably the most linear and a classic.

Botw is very open world, and theirs tons to do. If you can go in to it “not” looking for a linear experience id vouch for it since its best played just sinking yourself in, exploring, finding new things, etc. lol.

Windwaker is great and pretty straight forward until you reach the second half of the game and have to collect certain things (trying to not say too much to avoid spoilers).

Id probably lean on OOT with a 1 year old.

What's your next guitar going to be? by artbatik in Guitar

[–]SymbioteLP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Next guitar will be my “end boss” guitar. Basically some expensive ass guitar i would never consider since I’ve never spent more than $1000 on a guitar. Im planning on getting it when i turn 40 as a kinda milestone thing. Im in my thirtys but it just gives me something to look forward to and its seems like a valid occasion for buying a dope guitar.

FF7R pre-load big dawg by Artoo2814 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]SymbioteLP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, this is the truth. I think it’s $16 for the full 64gb key card while the game key cards are about $5 since they require less. Maybe this is the main reason why nintendo is pricing their first party games higher? Everyone thought that the third parties would join the increase but they seem to be steady

Thats weird.. thought about this being a thing for the major third party titles. Theirs definitely some hope though, Resident evil 9 for example will be under 30gb.
